Someone been loading up for days. Can sell a huge amount and get a good price for it.

Will start to move up once loading complete.

Agree YasX, they really need to ink some deals to get the share price moving a bit. They have talked a good talk, market needs some deals now to get things moving. The froth has come off and it is just a question of patience. Seems like a good person for the job, good career move as well.

Solid appointment this morning. NO reaction from the market, which may have missed it or ignored its significance.

ESYS is very illiduid, small buys and sells can cause significant movements either way so if you want to hold or trade, you have to accept that. I think Schroders picked up the last of the Blackrock stake and a few other bits which removes the persistent seller. ESYS could now move on demand or supply but a deal or two would really help get the share price moving, nai, dyor.

Tend to agree. Closed back above the 50dsma yesterday, first time since the tumble so am choosing to take that as a positive.

I'm very often wrong but currently think esys could pop upwards soon, supply of stock very tight and believe interested parties have taken positions. Dyor, etc.

Got a lot of time for Andy Brough at Schroders, one of the best fund managers around imho. He usually builds up decent size stakes as well, holds XAR, great company. ESYS fits his type.

DL,

Indeed.

This has fared rather well since yesterday given the sea of red in the broader markets.

If you buy a share with a 2 week time span then you re trading and not investing, huge difference. Traders invariably loose money, even professional traders, investors less so but it does happen. You buy a share, it goes up, you think it is going higher, hold and then it drops below your buy price, stuck with it. You buy a share, it goes down, you can't sell, stuck with it. If you want to make money, you have to learn the mentality of dealing with losses more than profits, when and when not to use a stop loss and when to invest. Most importantly, have a plan, a time frame and stick to it with every trade, without that, you are going to loose money constantly.

Any deal that has a material impact on the business revenues will be RNS'd, they said they are in talks with several companies, indicating major deals, the newsflow could be constant. The spike and drop is just a reaction with an iliquid share, if you buy into illiquid shares, the spikes are larger and the drops sharper, this price action is nothing more than a small free float and herd traders following each other. If you get a deal RNS'd, you wont be able to buy in at this price. Patience and understanding the psychology is a must if you want to make money in this game.

Davidro what you’ve described is not investing. What you’re doing is gambling.

This is never going to be an overnight story. They have a proposition, a team to deliver it and the funding at a much a higher share price. I invested with a 2/3 year horizon which is exactly what this is. Not 2/3 months.

The EV today is £30m - On that basis I am more than comfortable with my investment. And yes they should burn through the cash. That’s why they raised it! Companies don’t raise cash from shareholders for it to sit on the balance sheet. If they spend it/invest that means they are winning in the market and investing in more heads to grow/win new business.

Davidro,

Anyone that is enticed by others on twitter or any bulletin board ought not to be investing in any instrument.

As far as ESYS is concerned, they have a decent cash cushion, solid recurring revenues with scope for substantial growth if they are able to capture market share. Several Directors have purchased significant amounts recently, with Furness adding to his already substantial holding. Having reviewed his background, although not academically gifted, he seems a straight talker with a real desire to get things done, unlike many Exec Directors who use smaller Co's as lifestyle vehicles.

However, I think there is a clear need for them to deliver and execute to ensure no further hiccups.

I wish i shared your optimism. Another way of putting it is the twitter brigade pumped this as the best recovery stock in the market, took a load of retail PIs for a ride and have now moved on leaving this back where is started and probably drifting for months before a news update either way. And with recession looming you have to trust their hopium and that they can execute without further disappointment. I admit I got suckered in to dipping a toe here but not fully expect to have to hold this for minimum 6 months to see if a recovery does indeed take hold or whether they burn through their cash and have to warn again

Davidro,

One might put it another way - the shares rose in advance of it being favourable which ti was. It has since fallen back on profit taking.

However, this fell too far on the initial warning and on my reading of affairs the outlook is not as gloomy as the market considers it to be - that suggests the chasm between the current price and fair value on the basis that no further skeletons emerge will be bridged
