A quick fall to 9p to flush out placees is needed

They are seeing 20pc gains here

Reminder. If you are taking up the placement then Halifax sd want details by tomorrow at the latest. Other brokers may have different cut off times.

That is a danger, but it hasn’t happened so far and it’s in Mastercards interests to keep everybody on board, esp as ESG are providing the tech for the platform.
ESG also sit on the board of HomeSend so they are very aware of everything, expenditure plans, income, profit, loss so I’m very comfortable with their position in this. And the minorities do have a substantial stake, ESG and BICS having 45% between them. Ok, that won’t stop Mastercard having their way, but it does mean that on some things Mastercard can’t force through. Anyway, to date the venture has been one of co-operation and there is no reason to think that that will change.

20p sounds a conservative and modest target. Thought you were going to say this year!Always good to have what look like very achievable targets, esp when those targets are pushing 100% up on the current share price Once everything settles down from the placing then with a fair wind and a bit of newsflow I think 15p year end is on and would set up ESG for a strong 2018. One of the best risk/rewards on the market right now, imv.

I think we should easily hit finnCap's 20p target at some stage next year.

Possibly a lot more.

Thanks Hastings, it is a useful article. I wonder when the results will start to show definitively if it's taking off with HS / MC, or not. Suspect by the point it shows it's taking off, the shares may already have moved up a fair bit. Am watching with interest, and intending to look at in more detail, hopefully soon.

Hi alan00, I think I can answer some of those questions in my forthcoming article after speaking with the exec Chairman. Unfortunately the timing of when it goes up is out of my hands although I'm hoping it should be today. From a personal perspective I hold and remain a firm buyer.

Hi, Interesting company & thread. I have some questions, much appreciated if anyone closer to the situation is able to help. What do people think in terms of whether Mastercard will support / allow significant value to accrue to the joint venture? For Homesend customers through partners other than Mastercard I can see that HS will likely earn a decent fee, especially for peer to peer international remittances. However, what is the incentive for Mastercard to allocate Mastercard Send fees to HS as opposed to directly to themselves? It seems the concern MC won't allow too much value to accrue to HS drives the finnCap price target (based on a take out), which is rather low given the otherwise incredibly bullish (optimistic?) text. I would be very interested in the fee structure at HS for their different lines of business, if anyone has any information on this? finnCap seem to use a flat 0.5%, although I would expect this to vary depending on the type of transaction, and perhaps on the partner. Thanks in advance.
