EROS do like to keep the main jobs in the family, don't they. I see that as a small red flag.

Eros International has announced its plans to join hands with the highly acclaimed Marathi filmmaker Ravi Jadhav to mark the celebrated director's foray into Hindi cinema.

Ravi Jadhav's impressive filmography consists of some of the biggest hits of Marathi cinema like Balak Palak, Timepass, Natrang and Balgandharva. His films have won 5 National Awards till date and his most recent work Timepass is the highest grossing Marathi film of all time.

Commenting on the association, Krishika Lulla, Producer, Eros International said, "Ravi has proven to be a director to reckon with in Marathi cinema and together we hope to recreate the same magic with his debut in Hindi films too."

Ravi Jadhav added, "I always wanted my first Hindi film to be big and by collaborating with a studio like Eros International, I'm sure now it will be huge."

good morning rivaldo, yes I reckon the US market is starting to recognise Eros as a tech play rather than just a film production/distribution company. Interesting times ahead.

New highs tonight. The latest release Main Tera continues to perform well and is a big winner against its budget.

Czar, I'm hoping for a trading statement for the 31/3 year end any day now and am also confident that the news will be good.

But as you say, once the investment community sees the digital potential for this company then who knows how far the price can go.

I would expect to see results end May/early June. I'm confident they will be strong but the US are interested in ErosNow and the HBO jv. Any news on subscriber numbers picking up on these two could transform this stock. ErosNow could soon start to command a valuation of several times that of the entire company.

The sections on digital revenues and the value of the content library are particularly worth reading, but here's the conclusion:

Joe, the year end is 31st March, so I imagine with US reporting requirements they'll issue a trading statement reasonably soon.

Had almost forgotten about this share since it moved to a US listing, I only have a small holding. Just checked in and it seems to be doing rather well! Am not used to following US listed companies, when is the next news due?

riv - "I can see very, very substantial share price growth from here."

I sincerely hope you're right. On paper the investment story suggests that you may well be but hopes have been raised + subsequently dashed on so many occasions in the past 4yrs or so that I'm afraid the scars have left me sceptical. Only time will tell.

No probs speedsgh - similar thoughts myself, though over a more recent timescale.

However, the core business is doing well now. It looks like the year ending in 5 days' time will have been a very good one, and the forthcoming year also looks to have a very promising line-up - and should have a very good start in April given the releases.

More than that, I can see the digital revenues starting to grow exponentially.

If the US markets start to value the potential digital revenue streams given the partnerships with HBO, Sony etc, in relation to what is still a small company in their terms, I can see very, very substantial share price growth from here.
