"Mr K has left the building" is a phrase that was often used by public address announcers at the conclusion of EEL AGM's in order to disperse of EEL SLG Members who lingered in hope of a pay out. It has since become a catchphrase and punchline.

All right, all right, MrK has left the building. I've told you absolutely straight up to this point. You know that. He has left the building. He left the stage and went out the back with the men from Oando and he is now gone from the building.................;¬)

2lb, whether it be poverty now, Peak, or regime change in some of the world, or a strategic business deal, or the strength of the $ or the weakness of the $, or pirates, or TSX entry or exit, there is one thing you can guarantee, there will always be an excuse, an inexhaustible supply of excuses and that you will never get another penny back from this, not in 2 years, not another 10, not ever and the guys that duped everyone on here have long gone with your cash.

My 10 year anniversary of my first EEL purchase was in June

Sorry sorry tale indeed.

Peak has clearly screwed us over and that avenue is dead.

Oando will now please poverty for the next 10 years.

The SLG has not spoken for months, noting they have thankless and pretty much impossible task.

My plan now is for PANR and ARS to allow me to write EEL off in the 2016/17 tax year then have done with this fiasco.

$522 foreign debt: Oando Plc issues profit warning

Troubled Oando Plc has issued a profit warning to investors with respect to its expected Q2-16 earnings release.

In a release to the Nigerian Stock Exchange, the company stated: “the impact of the Naira devaluation by the Central Bank of Nigeria (“CBN”) is expected to amount to an unrealized foreign exchange loss arising from USD denominated liabilities, outstanding bank trade facilities as well as vendor payables”.

As at the time of the devaluation the company had USD denominated borrowings of $261 Million in Naira dominated earnings businesses, consisting of $68 Million in core loans, $89 Million in bank trade facilities, $83 Million in Asset Financing and $21 Million in other payables.

The recent 40% devaluation of the Naira is expected to lead to losses on these foreign exchange exposures, the company said.

Deadline have changed from 2 months to 2 years now. Need to check in again in 2018 to find out to check in again 2020. Unless of course Peak settle whatever it was they were supposed to settle if anyone can still remember? AGMs are now more like BAGMs with the script the same as previous. They could probably do the next 10 in advance as they would be the same as the last 10.

I agree, more research and caution was needed but then we're all guilty of that. For example how do you know my circumstances to claim I can't afford it? I think you're missing the point though.

Play it again GD2, same ole, same ole. Next time maybe you will do a little more research into your investments. For me, high risk, high reward, unfortunately this time no reward. Get over it GD2 and move on, and next time don't invest what you cant afford to loose.

It certainly has been one hell of a ride here with EEL, but I suppose there were plenty of warning signs along the way, that most EEL SLG members choose to ignore.

I do hope that one day we will find out what (if anything) was negotiated between the various parties involved here and what really went on behind the EEL SLG closed doors since 2008 and more so from 2011/12 onwards........

For now EEL remains the same old waiting and guessing game it has been for 8 odd years.

Out of interest, how long will it be before it's accepted we've been shafted and there won't be another penny coming back? The special div was just a shake of the tree to see what rats dropped out and it was cash neutral for Oando. There's no reason to do that again as they can let the loans help to extinguish anything left and wait until everyone gives up. I'm wondering whether it will be another 10 years or will Oando be kind and put us out of our misery sooner, or wait the 2 years we're waiting now before the metaphorical penny drops.

To be fair that OPL news is actually quite material and I would have expected it to have been flagged before.

I'm guessing that there probably won't be many SLG updates moving forwards...
