09/9/2016 09:04 | YOLO Leisure and Technology plc, the AIM-quoted company focusing on opportunities in the technology and leisure sectors, announces that TVPlayer Limited, in which YOLO has an interest by virtue of its investment into TVPlayer's parent company Simplestream Limited, has signed formal licensing multi year content agreements with ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5 to simulcast the broadcasters' free to air channels on TVPlayer. The agreements see TVPlayer licensing the Public Service Broadcasters' free to air channels for the first time, with the channels ITV 1, ITV 2, ITV 3, ITV 4, ITV Be, CITV, Channel 4, More4, 4Seven, Channel 5, 5STAR and Spik. All of these channels are available to existing TVPlayer customers across a full range of devices - including desktops, mobiles, tablets, Apple TV, Samsung Smart TV, Amazon Fire TV and various other set-top boxes. In addition to live streaming over wired internet and WiFi, TVPlayer has also licensed 3G and 4G rights for all channels. TVPlayer, with over one million viewers per month, is a popular online TV platform which streams live TV across multiple devices from some of the UK's most notable free-to-air broadcasters and Pay-TV channels. Following this deal, TVPlayer will offer over 100 channels spanning Entertainment, Sport, Kids, News, Music and Lifestyle. 09/9/2016 08:35 | a deal a day huh ... | raffles the gentleman thug
08/9/2016 22:53 | Entertainment One has cemented its ambition to crack the UK music market with the addition of dance music management company Hardlivings. www.musicbusinesswor | tini5
08/9/2016 17:31 | ... and consensus, pre-Sterling collapse, is only for 19.4p of earnings per share next year, which is only going to be subject to upgrade. So paying no more than 11.2x earnings and a multiple of about 7x EBITDA is hardly demanding for a company whose television production business and Family business (Peppa) have been growing at 24% and 42% respective CAGR for the past five years. I appreciate many idiots on this website are unable to absorb those facts with their "sub two quid" calls, but the reality is the company is rather cheap and ITV have properly messed up not buying it. | raffles the gentleman thug
08/9/2016 16:13 | Entertainment One (eOne) has entered into a first-look deal for unscripted programming with filmmaker, producer and show creator Datari Turner under his Datari Turner Productions banner. worldscreen.com/tvre | tini5
08/9/2016 15:46 | Set up a Google Alert for "Entertainment One" and you'll see how busy this company is. I've had several over the last two weeks, all new films / tie ups etc. A takeover is the fast buck if it happens, otherwise this is a growing business. Don't forget the China connection as well. Expect great things from ETO over the next 12 months. | tini5
08/9/2016 15:31 | I gotta say its irrelevant to me whether it comes or doesn't, since its a really rather cheap business whose momentum is most definitely upward | raffles the gentleman thug
08/9/2016 15:23 | I think it's just a matter of time before another bid comes in so sit tight it will happen .. | 2bluelynn
08/9/2016 11:28 | They are going to need to come out with some trading statement to stop this going below 2 quid. | spoole5
08/9/2016 09:07 | I guess we are going to trade sideways until the AGM! I dont think we are going to see any new takeover offers so it pretty much comes down to the trading update to reignite the share price I am still hopeful that they will add a US listing given the bump you would get in the share price | salpara111
07/9/2016 13:51 | ... so says rackers1 who only ever dares post his diatribe on this thread on rare days when the stock gets whacked. Whilst all about me are losing their heads I am buying more cheap shares - hence the nice recovery you are witnessing. And do short me some rackers1 because this this a nightmare to buy without moving the price | raffles the gentleman thug
07/9/2016 13:24 | planet you are on spoole5 ??? Show me another company in the UK today with any bloody bid support other than BP & Tesco. Honestly the way some are losing their heads here is remarkable. ETO has a minor pullback and I sense blind panic. For me its an opportunity to buy, seeing as I liked it at £2 and business has only gotten stronger | raffles the gentleman thug
07/9/2016 13:18 | The H1 trading update was released 30th September last year, so not long to wait. The Film division in particular should be much improved on last year given The BFG's big success in the UK. | rivaldo
07/9/2016 13:12 | Bid support gone, heading to sub 2 quid. | spoole5
07/9/2016 12:48 | nonsense they can't be expected to come out with a trading statement whenever idiot needs to sell their shares badly ... ... business is fine, valuation cheap and shares only about 6% above the already cheap level they were at before the ITV interest - so no problem at all as far as I am conccerned | raffles the gentleman thug
07/9/2016 12:29 | I think they need to come out with a trading statement to stop this drifting towards £2. | spoole5
06/9/2016 22:18 | I assume this is the same Entertainment One :-) www.blu-ray.com/news British label Entertainment One will release on Blu-ray Mat Whitecross' documentary Oasis: Supersonic (2016). The release will be available for purchase on October 31. | tini5
06/9/2016 14:58 | Peppa is "a product that’s sorted for perpetuity" per this article (though I doubt that Peppa is the reason for the ITV bid as is suggested!): PJ Masks merchandise to be available soon in ToysRUs and other outlets: "On balance it’s a comprehensive line-up that should sell fast this year. I’m calling it now, if you want the PJ Masks HQ for a present it will be worth getting in line early as this will likely sell out. The PJ Masks toys will be available first at Toys”R”U | rivaldo
05/9/2016 10:54 | Good point - they did indeed issue the trading statement a week before the AGM last year. | raffles the gentleman thug |
