I agree active - no white knight imo - just a question of price now.
I'm happy to hold US paper but like Moggie I'd like a bit more cash.

If they release super roar figures, mgm's share price should move higher and
inturn so can the paper bid.

I feel a bid will go through eventually.

I'm certainly of the opinion, like many of you, that the offer is far too low.

If MGM offered 1400 shares and 300p cash, I'd be much more tempted as I would have some cash and a stake in the future of the US operations.

So, how long does it take to knock up a....trading for the Q is well above expectations...statement'Given strong numbers for Oct and Nov (the best US month in history) are already settled, are they going to come out fighting in the next day is so'

My

Yes we have been here a while, as I said I feel anything between
1600 and 1800p will go through.

If you want to thank anyone for the situation of being so
undervalued go see ids and co for continuously hampering
gvc now ent.

We could have one of the massive technology companies that
want exposure elsewhere buying mgm and ent together,
Amazon have the fire power.

At least an all paper offer means a cgt rollover

Seven years, I have been in this since 2006!

Great income earner until the big expansion took place and the div went down and down, and now is zero!

Still, today's capital growth is like a big fat div, which more than compensates for the loss of income over the past couple of years.

mylands . I bought GVC 7 years ago with a target price of £20. Its been a long wait and MGM share price would have to be higher than $45 to make this offer tempting. Still in this market anything is possible.

I'm also in the "its much too low" camp.

I think from memory that the JV has rights where each can buy each other out. Maybe ENT should counter offer to MGM out of the JV and have a separate branding licensing agreement to keep brand consistency?

Otherwise there might be a chance that another bidder gets flushed out?

I'm looking at £18 before I could vote in favour. So much going for us in the US.

Given the US JV, MGM is likely to be the only bidder in town. Same thing happened with WH.

Your point ignores a rise in the MGM share price, that's why the US market's reaction to this bid is important.

Then another great Uk ftse100 company bought out by the USA on the cheap. We would be stupid idiots.

It will be interesting to see how the US market reacts to this all share bid by MGM. If the MGM share price rises significantly and MGM sweetens the deal by say a 10% increase in the offer, it's a done deal.

Welcome to 2021!!

I think the reference is to the share of the entity going forward

Why at a lesser rate?? With more states opening online betting/gaming?

Surely if we take shares then we can continue to take advantage of the good news -albeit at a lesser rate?

What would be the advantage to us by selling on the cheap at 16.It took years to build the business and do the best deals then we would be doing the worst deal.

I fully agree with you but I have a feeling £16 is what will be seen as realistic by both parties. I said I would be disappointed with less than £16 - I don't think £16 is fair but it is realistic.

Thank you you too.

A bid will be accepted but at a premium to where we are now.

Unless ent play canny and push for a spin off of roar onto the
nasdaq.

No 15 or 16 would be a giveaway and MGM would be laughing at our stupidity selling at a giveaway price.

Reckon 15-16 quid all paper will probably get it. Annoying but entirely predictable given the mkt opportunity.

No one else can bid successfully, as Apollo found with Hills, without the US partner pulling the rug away. And the value with it. MGM timing is noted, a few days before the best ever Q4 results on both sides of the pond and with Ladbrokes doors shut across most of the country it is perfect, fortunately and unfortunately.
