Liquidity and net debt

-- Net debt of c.$880 million at 30 June 2022 is down c.$342 million, inclusive of c.$10 million of foreign exchange movement, from 31 December 2021, driven by strong free cash flow generation

-- At the end of June, $115 million remained outstanding on the Group's senior secured debt facility ('RBL') following accelerated repayments totalling $300 million in the six months to end June 2022

-- EnQuest's net debt to EBITDA ratio as at 30 June 2022 is around 1.0x, down from 1.6x at the end of 2021.

-- EnQuest has executed $14.4 million (1.7%) of buy backs of the 2023 7% high yield bonds

-- For the period July to December 2022, the Group has hedged c.3.4 MMbbls of oil with an average floor price of c.$60/bbl and an average ceiling price of $79/bbl. For 2023, the Group has hedged a total of approximately c.3.5 MMbbls with an average floor price of c.$57/bbl and an average ceiling price of c.$77/bbl

There are no decent hedges in place at all for 2023.

Exactly the same happened a few years ago. AB was too busy looking at the shareprice to bother to ensure sufficient hedges were in place..and then when the price of oil fell the balance sheet was left totally exposed....and the shareprice got hammered..Anybody remember ?

Then probably back to 2023 cashflows being used to purchase a further bolt-on asset to negate further natural declines in existing assets.

After many years of the same I am starting to go dizzy........No return whatsoever for shareholders.

Back to 20p on an Iranian deal without a doubt.

In a response to a question in Parliament during the second reading of the Bill on whether historically more normal prices can be defined, the Financial Secretary to the Treasury repeated the former Chancellor’s comments that the average Brent price over the last five to ten years is $60 to $70 a barrel which should give a sense of what would be considered historically normal".

Looking at our daily volume, isn't a surprise we stuck in a rut. Although I would like some juicy dividends I am wondering if a decent share buyback would be better first . Any positive volume here surely has to send this one way
