Halliburton Sees World Headed for Oil Scarcity

“For the first time in a long time, we’ll see a buyer looking for a barrel of oil as opposed to a barrel of oil looking for a buyer,” Jeff Miller, chief executive officer at the Houston-based oilfield contractor, told an audience at the World Petroleum Congress on Monday.

yup, there is always money to be made with enquest, i am amazed at times how it manages to always find new ways to disappoint

but in fairness, everything with enquest is always based on ifs buts and maybes

the liabilities in the accounts were not a problem because oil was going higher any day now…., well after being stuck in the 40 dollar range, oil finally made a move, here we were with 83 dollar brent and enquest at 20p - where is master rsi, stupmy and onedb1 (our ta experts) - how many hundred posts did they make about just what 65 dollar brent would do for enquest…

i take it 100 is the new 65…

i certainly dont want to be holding when analysts start to mention depletion at kraken, what really has been the point of the whole kraken endeavour….?

If the new variant panic is overdone, then oil could rebound quickly, especially if opec pause. Assuming no big issue at kraken, then there could be an easy 40% here

for a trade?i think they are still can kicking, i genuinely hope i am wrong as there are some very patient investors hereenq at 20p with 83 dollar brent says it all, the share price should have been 100p with oil prices like thatthey have even managed to screw up hedging, some well researched and plausible posts on this board by bomfin and others - really got me thinking - but the accounts were the same old story with another year of reserves used up...good luck if you plump for some

So CEO buying again... admittedly he's been buying on and off for years, but the fact that he's still going is encouraging. I still see this at 30p if oil prices stay around these levels. The lack of investment across the oil complex is really coming home to roost now, so there is a strong case to be made for oil staying at elevated levels for a while

For those of you that don't know Magnus has a huge Gas Cap. For years BP bought cheap gas and used it for The Magnus EOR project. Now they can produce the gas at todays prices and make a mint. From memory the gas came from the WOS fields. It's all on the Web.

From update in terms of debt "2021 year-end net debt is expected to be around the closing net debt position in 2020, after the Golden Eagle acquisition and the c.$60 million early settlement of the Magnus BP vendor payment".
Hence by my simple maths Enquest have acquired GE ($325m) plus $60m for Magnus = $385m without increasing overall dept. This seems reasonable to me considering operational issues reducing production and lower oil prices at start of year.
I agree share price should bounce back to some extent.
