Erm guys......look up Storm Barry. Likely to hit the Gulf coast as a hurricane and sweep inland dumping inches of rain.

I've heard that 30%5 of the offshore gulf has been shut-in pending the storm passing....

Another good day tomorrow I reckon.

Stanley,
I go away for two weeks a week on Monday so will probably give it a miss as I would rather the dog was in kennels while I'm away.
On the bright side I'm off to the Canaries so the plane will burn a bit more fuel than my usual trips to mainland Spain!

Good luck tomorrow, could this hit the dizzy heights of 20p?

AndyDont wait too long to get in, driving season finishes soon lol.Looks like screwy numbers coming again due to the storms which is quite unfortunate as we cant get any momentum going. Would have been nice to get 6 weeks of solid draws to get another 5+ bucks on brent. Can t wait til these are 60p by xmas. And I will eat jotohahas hat if that comes to pass.

Stanley,
A day like today usually teases them out!

A good day for all those holding, well done, still not for me just yet though.

US domestic production was up by 100k (rounded to the nearest 100k) for the second week running, are they becoming the ultimate swing producers?

Inflation data and the monthly OPEC report tomorrow.

Enjoy the good days!

Is ADVFN ok right now? The gaslighter or deucebag would normally have wet the bed by this point and be telling us where the share price is going and how they predicted everything that has happened.

Latest cargo safely transferred and en route to Pascagoula refinery again where there is clearly a liking for Kraken crude.

I'm sure dog is being used as familiar term! The reality is if debt is reduced at a solid rate then this makes Enquest a much more attractive investment. I don't see Brent dropping anytime soon. The performance of the Magnus acquisition has been the surprise here. Kraken now doing well and all contributing to the debt being paid off.Yes lots of risks remain but let's see where we are at the next operations update.PS just to make this more relevant Brexit, immigration blah, blah

This is definitely not a dog! it might be a puppy tho' and time will tell if it becomes a dog. Dogs I have held include HMV, Afren, Aero Inventory and further back Marconi, all big woofers. Shares can have canine tendencies and lose 'em or vice versa, makes investing interesting and OK as long as you have more winners than losers. VOD's been yapping lately but I'm hoping that will pass!
best regards Richard

AndyNice post, shame on me for holding.Everyone else,So there you have it - a completely reasonable fairly balanced post outlining the factual risks. Compare with the other drivel posted with one liner share price targets and moronic TA.The board has spoken, it likes the latter. Lets hope the gamble pays off.

Jot,
This is a dog of a share end of.

I agree all stocks are a gamble but some carry a much higher risk, not to be confused with reward, than others.

I don't know how long you have been following EnQuest, not long I would suggest if you describe it as a quality company.

If oil stayed over $100 then things would have been a whole lot different.

The company has a limited portfolio of assets and is in the main reliant on an income that is tied to a single commodity, that commodity has entered a lower for the foreseeable period.
Add to that the flagship projects, The Producer and Kraken that were given the go ahead based on oil being closer to $100 than $50, the issues encountered on both projects and you end up with a business swimming in debt that it has struggled to service.

The company has gone cap in hand to shareholders twice now, has had to take out loans against future sales, issued more debt in lieu of coupons on its existing debt and will not realise the fruits of Magnus fully until the $1b vendor loan has been paid to BP.

You then have the debt due 2021 that will have to be restructured once again and I would suspect the negotiations will start shortly if they haven't already.

I generally avoid mentioning other companies but I've mentioned this one before on other boards as a comparison between a trader and an investment.

Look at how SEGRO conducts its business compared to the likes of PMO and ENQ.

I paid £2.40 a few years ago because it was clear shopping habits were changing and online retailers would need distribution centres and warehousing.
You then have the land bank appreciating in value, property increasing in value, rents going up, a third runway for Heathrow or another airport in the Southeast likely to create the need for more quality office and warehousing space.

In the time I've been invested the share price has gone in a straight line despite a RI, placing and ongoing restructuring of debt, you won't believe the interest rate on the latest bonds, the reason being it is not risky debt.

When the RI was announced the record date was the same day which didn't give the market an opportunity to manipulate the share price.

So yes all shares are a gamble but some more so than others.

Night.

One (dB),
There you go again telling us how successful you are!
I'm quite happy being a BB nobody unlike you who is constantly looking for recognition from faceless, online posters.

My scalping of pennies has got me somewhere, Macdonalds for a couple of happy meals.

You don't manage AB's charity investment activities do you?

Be lucky.

Stan you are certainly right on one point , AB has more shares than I , but I have bought every time he has , so up to nearly 3 million and not selling any until we have the 60p party

Tax avoidance would be my guess, not to be confused with tax evasion.

It's the end game that interests me.

It's worth having a look at the abysmal losses on investment activities in the latest accounts.
