OK net zero, its not zero carbon though mate..... We will never ever be zero carbon.

You said UK will be "almost zero carbon"

IT WON'T

Like you brexit rants, learn the real message. Politicians always spin for the best headlines.. This is not huge news.

I think there is a problem perception wise around investing in "dinosaur" stocks - oil if being seen like this, but there is years to come. Even if every last effort was made by every government around the world to move away from fossil fuels it would take decades. Production would slacken, oil could well be in shortage and there will be a lot of money to be made, but the sector is out of fashion, and for investors thats a problem. I still see it as a safe haven in a lot of ways, inelsatic demand etc, but its not trendy anymore..

is this the end of Oil equity markets, as the speed of transition to renewables is exponential.

It's the CEO he's bought so much around 19p recently!Kraken heavy crude is in high demand at the moment. US refiners can't get enough medium and heavy grades.

you have to admit there is some unusual support at this level, previously enquest would be bouncing all over.

Voted up Andy. To be fair, you've done some good trades on enq with limited share price movement. I was tempted at 23p to do same. But I assumed finally enq was breaking out. Sadly not yet! But nothing worse than selling out and seeing it sail to the high 20s or beyond

Stanley,
Is Greg another one who has been duped into thinking the shale bubble will burst and what they produce is unwanted?

OPEC tried to call them out and failed, shale oil is here for the foreseeable, a lot of the small and mid sized producers may go belly up but all that will do is open the door to the majors, who are already buying up acreage.
The majors produce, refine and sell the usable products so can afford to take a hit, if needed, at one point in their operation.
It's interesting the article posted on here about bankruptcy failed to include any company involved in upstream and was put together, in part, by an organisation with an interest in sustainable energy.

Let's not forget the US are pioneers of this relatively new process, how many less densely populated countries than the UK are sitting on fields of black gold?

If you read the latest OPEC report it is not just the US who is upping production, it is the rest of the world, the difference being they are producing convention oil.
So much for the talk of under investment.

Good luck in the morning, it will be good to see 18.85p tested and hold.

W TI not looking great in early Asian trading.

Leon,
It looks like the decorators haven't finished yet so still plenty of drying time for the Ayatollah to wait!
We all know good things come to those who wait.
