17/3/2016 09:34 | Difficult to see how they can keep within debt / EBITDA covenants. Forecast on the cost basis looks good for us. I wonder what their level of "prevailing prices" is; 30-35 is a greater margin of safety than 35-40. | ![]() hpcg
17/3/2016 09:25 | With todays figures, equity up 20% and oil rallying I'm surprised these haven't been marked quite a bit higher, they look cheap to me. | ![]() spittingbarrel

01/3/2016 21:11 | Moody's Investors Service has today downgraded the CFR of EnQuest plc (EnQuest) to Caa1 from B3 and probability of default rating (PDR) to Caa1-PD from B3-PD. The Caa2 rating on the company's 2022 senior global notes was confirmed. The outlook on all ratings is negative. This action is primarily driven by the concern over EnQuest's ability to maintain sufficient liquidity over the medium-term, while investing in the strategic Kraken project in the North Sea scheduled to come to production in 2017. In spite of expected growth in production, EnQuest will generate negative free cash flows because of lower oil prices and transition to a largely unhedged position in 2H 2016, with debt/EBITDA leverage peaking in 2016 above 4x. Sizable investments amid low price environment will extend negative FCF generation in 2017, delay debt reduction and pressure liquidity in the next 12-18 months, when expansion will need to be funded by cash and available bank facilities. | ![]() my retirement fund
27/2/2016 10:24 | 7% interest and 22c on the dollar, so definitely a better buy, but inaccessible to most UK investors. | ![]() hpcg

26/2/2016 20:10 | I was answering hpcg's speculation by confirming what I thought about liquidity in the US bonds. Just to reiterate why I think they are illiquid as I understand that they come in $200,000 denominations. | ![]() my retirement fund

26/2/2016 18:40 | Wshak has been buying the proper bonds, which are much better value. Which does show a bit that retail investors are not good at pricing risk - but is also quite possibly an indication of liquidity. I have bought sold and bought these and never had a problem with any transaction. | ![]() hpcg
