21/1/2002 07:11 | lol ok i exaggerated a bit about the company being sold for 99p but the fact is the share price is going down | ![]() pizzaman
20/1/2002 23:08 | Hello all, This is my first post on the ENO subject (unless my memory is going), and I must be upfront and admit to holding a few shares (which will naturally cloud my judgement on the company's prospects). However, as with all my shares, I do like to note the "Consensus of the Analysts" (sounds like a musical) on Yahoo finance. For the past few months, we held steady with the following recommendations:- Strong Buy 4 Moderate Buy 0 Hold 5 Moderate Sell 2 Strong Sell 0 Last week, at the time of the announcement, this changed to:- Strong Buy 4 Moderate Buy 1 Hold 5 Moderate Sell 1 Strong Sell 0 On the strength of the news it does seem that one broker has changed from sell to buy. Now, that may be a total coincidence, but I like to think that the brokers get better info than we do (and more of it). That said, there's always a chance that pizzaman may be right, and so (given the sad passing of Victor Kiam) I would like to step in with an offer of 99p for the complete company on the 31st of Jan. Could someone please give the good news to the board. 09/1/2002 16:30 | wc1 could go up and down a bit for the next couple of months but you have a safe hold. i bought a year ago at 210 but only held for a couple of months and sold to break even or a few quid up. when they fell i could not believe the amount of drop, have bought at 65 and 90 over the last few months selling the 65 at 98 and showing a good profit, i still hold at 90p but will sell at 120, hopefully in the next few weeks. i know the company is in a difficult time and has issued profit warnings etc but they are still seriously undervalued and a bid could also come this year. | burrmj
09/1/2002 00:40 | Here we go! looks suspiciously like the prelims of a bid. Some very large trades are going through and price on the move up in falling market. | spottie99
08/1/2002 17:10 | burrmj Keenly interested dear old sir --- but made the mistake of rushing in a few months back at 129p on a newspaper tip ! Therefore just sitting patiently and waiting for the action to materialise. Suppose I could have got out via a stop loss-- then back in lower down BUT have remained satisfied throughout that it was worth the wait. Good luck wc1 | wc1

28/11/2001 00:26 | this is one of those uk businesses that has bet the farm on the USA. if the economy there is on the rebound later next year it will do exceeding well. the downside risk seems very small | dennis russell
22/11/2001 17:25 | I like these poor results -- more please and I might get back to the level paid when buying-in on a takeover tip !! | wc1
21/11/2001 13:24 | i think enodis is a good recovery buy now at 86p to hold for 1 year, results not as bad as we were led to believe, the new management seem to be in control. | burrmj
20/11/2001 00:09 | tempted to buy in again but unsures as to how bad the results will be, i think the price reflects the worse case already. | burrmj
16/11/2001 21:01 | glad i bailed out at 97 yesterday now, this market is so jumpy now. | burrmj |
