RNS Number:4566J Eurocity Properties PLC 5 September 2001 PRESS ANNOUNCEMENT Eurocity Properties PLC ("Eurocity" or "the Company") The Board of Eurocity is pleased to announce the acquisition of a feuhold property comprising two retail units with ancillary offices at 30 High Street, Paisley, Scotland, producing a rental income of #74,500 per annum. The property is let in its entirety on a full repairing and insuring lease subject to five yearly upward only rent reviews to Stead & Simpson Ltd, the shoe retailer. The lease was granted for a term of 25 years from 15 May 1991. The rent fell due for review on 16 July 2001 and is currently under negotiation. The purchase price is #700,000, which has been partly financed by a mortgage from the Nationwide Building Society. Commenting on the acquisition, Baron Bloom, Managing Director, said: "This property is an excellent addition to our existing Scottish property portfolio and should provide an immediate enhancement both to our balance sheet and profitability."
