20/1/2020 09:52:22 | PARIS (Agefi-Dow Jones) - Gaztransport and Technigas (GTT) shares signed the biggest rise in the SBF 120 index on Monday, gaining 4.4% to 97.65 euros, after analysts at Oddo BHF raised their target price on value from 102 to 120 euros, while confirming their recommendation to "buy". The title of the manufacturer of cryogenic membranes for the transport of natural gas is also part of the list of favorite values of Oddo BHF for the first half of 2020 in the world of small and medium capitalization (Conviction Midcaps). The opinion of the financial intermediary is particularly supported by the recent orders won by GTT, which improve visibility on the activity. Also describing the group's financial structure as "excellent", Oddo BHF ensures that the stock's valuation remains "modest".

A number of firms active in the Scottish energy sector will be amoung the biggest investors in floating offshore wind over the next five years, a new forecast has claimed.
Norwegian energy giant Equinor, German developer EnBW and a joint venture (JV) partnership involving Engie and EDP Renewables will collectively look to invest more than £5 billion up to 2025, according to data from Quest Floating Wind Energy.
Other firms mentioned in the forecast are Shell, Plambeck and Progression energy.
New market intelligence suggests that the “total addressable market” could be almost £11bn over the next five years.
Quest also projects that more than 17.5 gigawatts (GW) of floating offshore wind will be installed worldwide by 2033.
The report also adds that the UK, the USA, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea and Spain will llead the exponential growth in cumulative total MW for planned and possible offshore floating wind projects to 2033.
It claims these six countries represent projected wind capacity additions totaling over 16 GW.
It also adds that other notable contributors include Saudi Arabia, France and Norway. | adrian j boris | |

27/12/2019 09:21:17 | Engie Brasil to buy power transmission concessionaire in Brazil Power line in Brazil. Author: João André O. Dias License: Attribution-NoDerivs 2.0 Generic (CC BY-ND 2.0)
December 26 (Renewables Now) - Brazilian utility Engie Brasil Energia SA (BMVF:EGIE3) said on Monday its unit Engie Transmissao has agreed to acquire a 100% stake in a company that holds a concession to build and operate around 1,800 kilometres of power lines in Para and Tocantins.
Engie Transmissao signed a share purchase and sale agreement with Sterlite Brazil Participacoes SA, targeting all shares of Sterlite Novo Estado Energia SA.
The purchase price will reach up to BRL 410 million (USD 100.4m/EUR 90.7m), subject to customary conditions, including the securing of the Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency ANEEL's approval.
Sterlite Participacoes was awarded Lot 3 in ANEEL’s transmission auction in 2017, which resulted in Novo Estado signing a concession agreement with the Brazilian government agency. Besides 1,800 kilometres of power lines, the concession covers construction, operation and maintenance of one new substation and the expansion of three other substations in the Brazilian states of Para and Tocantins.
Engie Brasil said all installation licences for the project have been issued. Construction is expected to commence in 2020.

December 20 (Renewables Now) - A consortium led by French utility Engie SA (EPA:ENGI) is to acquire the Portuguese hydropower portfolio of Energias de Portugal SA (ELI:EDP), with a total capacity of 1.7 GW, for EUR 2.2 billion (USD 2.4bn).
The consortium also includes Credit Agricole Assurances, the insurance arm of French bank Credit Agricole SA (EPA:ACA), with a 35% stake, and French investment manager Mirova, which owns 25%. Together they submitted the winning bid in an auction held by the Portuguese utility, it was announced on Thursday.
Engie will be responsible for operating and maintaining the hydropower plants (HPP) in the portfolio, while also providing energy management services, according to the company's statement. The company expects a net debt impact of about EUR 650 million from the deal, which is expected to close in the second half of 2020.
The assets in the portfolio have a weighted average remaining concession term of 45 years and include three new pump storage units as well as three recently repowered run-of-river plants.
Engie expects the pump storage hydro production to become more valuable in the medium to long term considering the inherent intermittency of wind and solar assets, the company stated.
