PARIS (awp / afp) - Prime Minister Edouard Philippe has estimated in the Journal du Dimanche that there is "no fiscal pot" because any additional tax revenues from the economic recovery would be used first to de-indebted the La France.

"There is no money when for forty years we spend more than we win.If there is good news on revenue, it will be a way to accelerate our debt," said the head the government in an interview to the JDD, as to clear the rise of a debate like that which affected the Jospin government in the early 2000s.

He said he is still "rather in the logic" of a growth rate of 1.7% in 2018, which does not expose the country to "bad news".

France's public debt amounted to 2,226.1 billion euros in the third quarter of 2017, representing 98.1% of Gross Domestic Product, compared with 99.1% in the previous quarter.

The Assembly voted in October new rules of "good driving" to use this possible "kitty" tax. If the recovery is cyclical, the new revenues will be used to reduce the deficit and the debt.

The Minister of Public Accounts, Gérald Darmanin (from LR), had defended this amendment of "fiscal responsibility which provides in the case of a surplus of tax or social revenue (how to) to spread to avoid debates that could push some- each ".

The Prime Minister also said in the Journal du Dimanche that there would be new asset disposals in addition to those already envisaged and that privatization bills were being prepared, without specifying the timetable.

"On possible privatizations, which would require a law, you will see in the legislative calendar as and when they are presented," he added.

The State has not yet taken a decision on the privatization of ADP Group, the manager of Paris airports, or the French Games (FDJ), said on December 19 the head of the Agency's equity investments. State, Martin Vial.

"On the other hand, it is clear that the Minister of Economy Bruno Le Maire, the Prime Minister and the President of the Republic have made a decision on a fund for innovation that will be fed by 10 billion euros of transfer" , he recalled, evoking first disposals made for "Engie shares, Renault titles this autumn for just over 2 billion euros".

OVER A YEAR NOW AND STILL NOTHING IN THE WIND

December 2016

Engie could soon become a diversified conglomerate, present in both energy and water management, via a 100% rise in the capital of Suez (ex-Lyonnaise des Eaux).

Suez (formerly Suez Environnement, formerly Lyonnaise des Eaux) will soon fully fall into the fold of Engie, which already owns a third of the capital of the world No. 2 in water and waste management ( In 2008, Suez distributed to its shareholders the remaining two-thirds of the capital of the former Suez Environnement as part of its merger with Gaz de France, to form GDF Suez, renamed since Engie). Indeed, the general manager of the giant tricolor energy, Isabelle Kocher, consider a takeover, according to the website of BFM Business.

Engie Romania buys from Renault 262 vehicles for about 3.6 million euros Auto / Transports Engie Romania buys 262 vehicles from Renault for 3.6m euros Profit.ro Profit.ro wrote yesterday, 15:49 Renault was the only bidder for a purchase request from Engie Romania. One of the two largest gas suppliers in Romania, Engie Romania, will buy 262 vehicles from Renault Commercial Roumanie, the value of the contract amounting to 16.4 million lei (about 3.58 million euros), excluding VAT. Renault has submitted the only tender received by Engie at the auction, which initially estimated the contract at almost 3.86 million euros. It is concluded for a period of one year. In the tender notice, the gas supplier said he wanted to purchase 262 new vehicles, including 250 vans, various models, and 12 cars to carry out the business. At the same time, Engie wants from the car manufacturer a performance guarantee of 5% of the contract price excluding VAT. It will be constituted by a guarantee instrument issued by a bank or an insurance company. A regular customer of Renault Renault also won the auction organized by Engie Romania at the end of 2016, which he bought 266 vehicles last year for 3.21 million euros, excluding VAT. E.ON SE (EOAN.XE) said late Thursday that an international court of arbitration had decided "almost entirely" in its favor in a long-running dispute with Electrabel SA, a Belgian subsidiary of Engie SA (ENGI.FR), regarding payment obligations related to a 2009 mutual-electricity supply agreement.

The arbitration court ruled that PreussenElektra GmbH, a subsidiary of E.ON, wasn't obliged to pay the Belgian nuclear tax to the amount of 321 million euros ($383 million), E.ON said.

The ruling will have a positive impact on consolidated net income, cashflow and economic net debt, the German utility company said, while earnings before interest and taxes, and adjusted net income will be largely unaffected.

Engie couldn't immediately be reached for comment.

In a regulatory filing from July, Engie said that E.ON, via PreussenElektra, had submitted an arbitration request to the ICC International Court of Arbitration in November 2014.

It said in the filing that E.ON was seeking the payment by Electrabel of a portion of the German nuclear contribution as well as the repayment of EUR199 million, plus interest, of the Belgian nuclear contribution made by E.ON.

Engie also said in September that Electrabel disputed these claims and had filed counterclaims, including the full payment of EUR120 million plus interest invoiced by Electrabel for the Belgian nuclear contribution, as well as repayment of EUR189 million plus interest for the German nuclear tax paid by Electrabel.

Engie also said in July that following a ruling by the German Federal Constitutional Court that the German nuclear tax was illegal, the court of arbitration had re-opened the case and that an award was expected to be handed down in the second half of 2017.

December 29 (Renewables Now) - Engie Brasil Energia SA (BVMF:EGIE3) is taking full control of two hydropower plants (HPPs) with a combined capacity of 832 MW.

Located in Brazil's Minas Gerais state, the 424-MW Jaguara and the 408-MW Miranda plants were secured during last September's HPP concession tender. The local arm of French energy group Engie (EPA:ENGI) bid BRL 3.5 billion (USD 1bn/EUR 883.8m) in total for both facilities, the company said on Thursday.

Previously held by Brazilian utility Cemig (BVMF:CMIG4), the HPPs will now be operated by Engie for a 30-year period, according to the guidelines established by the auction.

On Wednesday, the company also switched on a 30-MW photovoltaic (PV) plant in Rio Grande do Norte state. Currently, Engie Brasil has an installed capacity of 11,059 MW, which represents about 6% of the overall electricity generation in Brazil.

December 28 (Renewables Now) - Engie Brasil Energia SA (BVMF:EGIE3) announced on Wednesday national power sector regulator Aneel has allowed it to switch on a 30-MW solar farm in Rio Grande do Norte state.

In the country, Engie represents about 6% of the overall electricity generation with an installed capacity of 11,059 MW, of which 90% comes from clean energy sources, the company noted.
