GITY. Thanks for that background. Very encouraging. The key here as I think you have posted before is to get the UK sorted out which seems to be a fair chunk of sales but not a fair chunks of profits. If they can do that and drive growth through the existing portfolio it should get down and enable them to look again at deals. I am never that bullish on the rating that this type of agency should have but if they stick to the knitting I am a happy holder for now. Thanks again.

Hi Graham, thanks for the update that is really good of you and yes I agree, as and when diaries permit, PIs should attend more AGMs! I am as guilty as the next person....

I'll not add to for time being, but will watch and see how things progress.

Pretty good meeting. They are upbeat and positive, while naturally understated people.

I pressed on the acquisitions, and they all seem to be going pretty well. Pharma issues are behind them, and the other two seem to be doing very well. Nothing keeping them up at night, and budgets agreed with each business for this year.

Joost and Spencer will quietly get on with what they do, with little fanfare or hype. I am a very happy holder.

PS I did give them a hard time about the RNS. It was read out to me at 1.02pm, and yet the RNS was not out until 1.23pm. That is really bad practice in my view.

PPS I was the only shareholder present. Why do shareholders not show more interest in the companies they invest in ????

Yup, underwhelming, and IMO unclear whether acquisitions are helping them achieve in line forecasts....be interested in graham's feedback when he can...

At the Annual General Meeting of Empresaria, the international specialist staffing group, held at 1 pm today, 3 May 2017, Tony Martin, Chairman of Empresaria, made the following statement:

"The Group has made a solid start to the year, delivering year on year growth in net fee income for the first quarter of 2017 across all four of its regions. The investments made in 2016 in Rishworth Aviation and ConSol Partners are performing well and we are pleased with their integration into the Group.

The Group remains on course to meet market expectations for the full year."

The Group will issue a trading update on 21 July 2017 and will publish its interim results for the six months ended 30 June 2017 on 22 August 2017.

Thanks GITY. I would really like to know why they feel that is better than what they did last year. As you say with tech these days that gives the AGM attendees a potential advantage which is a bit unnecessary. Fingers crossed anyway

There will be a statement read out at the AGM and released afterwards. I really disapprove ! I will be there and may be able to deal before it is up on the screen.

What really annoys me is Companies that release them as the AGM starts, or just before when people are travelling. I have heard the excuse that the statement needs Board approval and they hold a Board meeting in the morning before the AGM.....

That is disappointing - they released one last year at 7.00 am on the AGM morning. Always think that consistency on these things is pretty important. Hopefully not too significant.
