my finger is on the buy button (as in 'buy some more').

Been in these for 5 years now and this company has a unique niche.

Generalized Aim market weakness is gifting investors a nice price in my view

Wad, do you find that there is a period after results when they bed down in the minds of investors before there is a reaction in the price.

Investors are going - "well what does everyone else think?"

I think there has been something of a slow burn here to what were unequivocally very decent numbers..

From Investors Chronicle daily round up:

EMIS’ (EMIS) strategy to separate its good and bad news into two different announcements has not fooled investors. Shares in the healthcare software provider fell 17 per cent in early trading on the revelation that its Web product for GPs in England has failed to meet certain services levels and reporting obligations. The financial impact of this problem is expected to be “in the order of upper digits of millions of pounds”, according to management, who are working with NHS Digital to assess the full scale of the impact and attempt to resolve the matter. The group’s second update - an inline trading statement - made for much more pleasant reading, but after taking into account the one-off charge broker Numis has slashed its 2018 guidance. If the problems with Web products can be restricted to one off costs this morning’s share price fall presents an excellent buying opportunity, but we place our recommendation under review for now as we await more details on the extent of the damage.

Wad did emis not cover the problem at all then saying it was the surgery personnel's fault ? I have sent an email to emis to find out their exact position.I have a dual interest as an investor and a user.if they say its not covered as an investor it means their profits this year should be immune from the attack and subsequent attacks but as a user very concerned as where to start if I catch the virus.

Two mentions for EMIS in the Investors Chronicle lengthy sector focus this week on private sector involvement in the NHS.

First, on its activities:

"Aim stalwart EMIS (EMIS) offers technology solutions to many NHS trusts. Spending on IT within the NHS is very fragmented - for example, 29 separate payments of over £25,000 were made to BT in the final quarter of the 2015-16 financial year - and so streamlining technology services could be an excellent solution to cutting costs.

Many NHS trusts have taken up the EMIS technology and now over 10,000 organisations use the software, although recent funding concerns have seen a slowdown in the number of NHS procurement contracts awarded. But EMIS's technology should be beneficial to the NHS. The software is used to share patient information and therefore raises the efficiency of individual NHS trusts and streamlines the IT systems for the whole organisation."

and next in their "Favourites" in the sector:

"We also like EMIS for its strong market position and opportunities in an organisation that really needs some help. At present, funding concerns due to political uncertainty make this quite a risky stock, but it is one to keep an eye on."

Fall looks very technical having dropped through support.

As there is nothing new from the company and results and news from EMIS have been good I am not sure that some investors are just simply frightened of their own shadows.

As has been pointed out would look to be immune to Brexit concerns too. Would not be surprised by sudden snapback rally here as this looks to be just noise (IMHO) .

A little top up at this level could be sensible

Blackrock shorted this one in Feb, apparently. It doesn't bother me as a long term investor, because EMIS will carry on growing regardless.

Investor Chronic plays that game, ramps them up and when they tank they are swept under the carpet and never of heard again!!

More than 50 years ago, legendary investor Warren Buffett began his path to incredible wealth by investing in small, overlooked companies that most of the market simply didn’t care about. This is one of those with a Buffet moat.
