28/11/2009 09:54 | BOB Forgive my ignorance - but what is the story with sey since the sale of our emeralds. | maddona
28/11/2009 09:47 | were you invited to this Bob? | 264091
28/11/2009 02:38 | AB and Evolution do know what they are doing. | 264091
28/11/2009 00:17 | Little hen: one of my daughters added quite a few RXP a year or so ago, bought cheaply (for almost nothing in fact) and I later topped-up at 3p or something. Our average price is very low, about 3p I think. Am I putting fresh cash into Roxi? No; it always promises a lot, but has yet to deliver. We're just sitting on them to see what happens. I do expect Roxi to go up...but it continually disappoints...which gets tiresome. Long-term, it has been a poor performer. ken: I have a decent holding in Sterling; AB is following the "Emerald formula" at SEY. The more oil (and gas) that's found in Kurdistan, the more secure I think it becomes as a locality. Actually, it's already becoming a tourist destination! Sterling is not a shell company; it has assets other than Sangaw and I don't personally agree that it is overvalued. Various GKP and Vast rampers say all sorts of negative things...water off a duck's back to me. There is oil in Sangaw, it seeps out when the weather is hot, and Sterling say the best analogue is Taq Taq. GPX never got on with Emerald; we will see how they do with a Chinese giant with (comparatively) bottomless pockets. GPX proved a somewhat disappointing investment for me (Emerald was the better bagger) and I have sold the lot, I just felt kind of uneasy about it all, now that AB and his people are no longer involved. I always felt "safe" when Alastair was around, looking after the pennies. DFGO: I'm glad your wife is better, that's really good news. | bobobob5

27/11/2009 11:06 | DFGO, I'm gald to hear your missus is gettign better. | 7kiwi
27/11/2009 11:04 | lh, I like RXP very much; although recent share price action is a little troubling. But reserves report for Galaz overdue and wel #20 on Ravninnoe is drilling ahead plus funded up to drill BNG - so plenty of potential there. But DYOR etc. | 7kiwi
27/11/2009 09:21 | hello DFGO. glad to hear the news re-mrs, and hope it keeps improving. yes, still checking for production, habit, i suppose, but nothing new since july. as having only banking my cheque last week ( kept looking at it, one piece of paper, worth more than my house) not bought into anything, (cept new kitchen) and still not liking the markets, it still seems overblown! with the iraqi kurdistan area being centre stage and overinflated prices for the oilers, that may or may not get paid IF they find oil, with the high capex costs involved and a possible wait for say two years for payments, the lowish % returns to capex seemingly not a consideration. i will likely invest again but using a change in strategy, instead of longterm investing change to playing the markets. sterling being an example, still in my mind, having sold its US parts, being just a shell company now, £50m in the bank though its with prospects, still too highly valued but may be a play after the OO until the high cost drilling is underway. des being similar. though must admit gpx, having cut back from its iraqi parts and now maybe looking at more exploration drills in 2010 may provide a longer term bet. more so as they are at last looking at the n/e section of block 26... ken | efagie
27/11/2009 08:32 | 264091 thanks you | dfgo
26/11/2009 23:46 | Bob. Does RXP fit your multibagger criteria? Still sitting on 90% of my EEN proceeds and considering RXP for a small long term (well, 5yrs) tuckaway. | little hen
26/11/2009 22:57 | so pleased you've both done so well! | 264091

25/11/2009 18:14 | I wouldn't deal with people who play with marked cards anyway. | 264091
25/11/2009 15:12 | Bob, still intrigued to know how the old EEN energy people have marked posters cards here. What can they do- stop being buying - no. Stop people selling- no. It would appear as if the old EEN and GPX management didnt always get along. Posters on here ahve taken sides, that that. Lets please not turn it into threats about cards being marked which is nonsense. | utrecht_00
25/11/2009 00:42 | captain: Sinochem appears to think they can manage without the UK Emerald people who steered the company to great success...and Gulfsands prima facie consider that they can do without them as well...to quote dear Pizza: Oh dear. bob | bobobob5
24/11/2009 19:18 | Now now no name calling please. | captainfatcat
24/11/2009 14:37 | I wouldn't be selling GPX at the moment. | 264091 |
