14/2/2013 13:34 | Is the chart showing a double top or a double bottom? Or are we getting converging lines which will lead to a break-out? | peter27
14/2/2013 11:34 | Gardenarc how u doing long time no chat. Been busy with US stocks. Closed out some MONY this morning after a 20% move in as many days. Hows things ? | stavros28
01/2/2013 18:03 | Let me guess big drop just to get some big buyers and back to where we were a month ago... | aran26
01/2/2013 15:51 | They are just regaining where they were beforethe placing - as I predicted! I got the direction right - if not the timing. dyor | peter27
01/2/2013 15:33 | I can only guess the rise is due to the 162 shares bought on behalf of Director Valentino for his pension. LOL | peaeff
01/2/2013 11:24 | Maybe a bit of new interest today ahead of 2012 results statement due Feb 26? | trekker60
01/2/2013 11:05 | Waiting for news.. | gardenarc
30/1/2013 21:13 | The market as a whole seems to be increasing, however, ELM is staying around 212. I wonder if there is bad news on the way? To me ELM still looks like a good long term prospect. | sonigill
26/1/2013 12:38 | If they go up to 240, by definition - yes. If they go down to 180, by definition - no. Get out the crystal ball and let me know. | peter27
25/1/2013 18:27 | Does this mean this is a good time to buy before a rise back to 240? | sonigill
23/1/2013 07:56 | because of the size of the sale. Imagine wholesale instead of retail. Also they want to make certain of the deal. Ity's done all the time between institutions. | peter27
22/1/2013 20:27 | Why should they offer a discount if they are cash rich? | samenic
22/1/2013 18:48 | If the company sold them there would have to be an announcement so they have undoubtedly been sold by an institution to others - probably existing shareholders. A discount would be quite normal and the price will follow it. I suspect they will be up first thing tomorrow so a buying opportunity may have been lost. | peter27
22/1/2013 18:39 | Why would a £1bn company raise £22m? | toffeeman
22/1/2013 17:57 | So why the need for extra funds, this is a real cash generative business?? | samenic
22/1/2013 17:12 | Anyone got any thoughts on the drop at 2pm. I don't have level 2 but it presumably was an institutional sale? | alipatton
22/1/2013 17:11 | Dow Jones newswire reports Bank of America - Merrill Lynch acting as sole bookrunner in the placing of 11.4m ELM shares at 210p today. | silver sox
16/1/2013 12:18 | Peaeff - I found the downgrade on Dow Jones newswire but it didn't go into any detail as to their reason for starting at underperform. I suppose with no substance only time will tell but I agree entirely with your sentiments. | silver sox
16/1/2013 11:26 | If they go down much more I'll buying (for the long term) | peter27
16/1/2013 10:32 | SS thanks for that, but it does give the impression that they are rather 'insider' knowledgable as to what the final results may contain. It will be interesting to note if that is the case, although I would never bet on it. I sometimes wonder if some of these 'price forecasts' are based on much at all. regards | peaeff
15/1/2013 10:53 | Morning Peaeff - looks like dip caused by Bank of America-Merrill Lynch starting Elm at underperform and cutting european industrial gas sector to underperform. | silver sox
15/1/2013 10:25 | Not a lot of action on here recently so I will say happy new year to all who remain in the wings. Bit of a dip this morning which I expect is being caused by some institution either selling or wishing to accumulate at the right price. Synthomer (ex YULC same sector) reported today and expect everything to be in line, so that shouldn't have had any adverse effect. regards | peaeff

06/12/2012 16:23 | Very strong move today and I just wonder how much of it may be due to the promised 'special dividend' and can we achieve a new high prior to end of year. regards | peaeff |
