LONDON (Alliance News) - Electrocomponents PLC said Wednesday the recently announced changes in the US tax rates will have minimal impact on the company for the financial year ending March 31.

"We continue to work through the full impact of these changes on Electrocomponents and will give more detailed guidance on the impact of these changes at our final results in May," the company said. However, it expects the US tax rate changes to result in a non-cash exceptional tax credit as a result of the revaluation of deferred tax balances

Electrocomponents Plc, the global distributor for engineers, is hosting a site visit for analysts and investors today at Allied, its US operation, located in Fort Worth, Texas.

The event will focus on the work the Group is undertaking to become first choice for customers, suppliers and employees in the Americas. The event will include presentations from the Allied management team and a tour of the warehouse.
