17 September 2007

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 17 September 2007

                                    Eicom plc
                           ("Eicom" or "the Company")

New Channel Launch/Appointment of new Air Time Sales House

Launch of New Channel

Eicom plc (AIM:EIC), the international digital TV channel operator, announces
that it will be launching its second Performance Channel on the Sky Platform on
17 September. The channel can be found next to the existing Performance Channel
(Channel 270) on Sky's EPG at Channel 271.

The new channel, called Performance MainStreet, will be dedicated to the culture
of 20th Century Music from Blues to Rock and from Jazz to Big Band and will
feature top concerts from the biggest stars of the era. The two Performance
Channels are designed to offer better coverage of the two main aspects of
Performance Channel's existing schedule - popular classical music and classic
rock and pop. Both channels will feature documentaries and performer profiles.

The first month's schedule on Performance MainStreet includes classic series
like The Old Grey Whistle Test, which ran from 1971 to 1987 on the BBC and
hosted many seminal acts of the era, including the first British TV performance
of Bob Marley and the Wailers. The channel gets behind the music with
documentaries on Jimmi Hendrix and Eric Clapton and a documentary series, Books
Into Film which analyses the filmed versions of books by authors like Stephen
King, J. K. Rowling, Tom Clancy and Nick Hornby. And of course there are
primetime concerts featuring live recordings of Santana, Cat Stevens, Deep
Purple, Genesis, Chicago and the legendary John Lennon Live in New York.

Appointment of new Air Time Sales House

Eicom is also delighted to announce that it has appointed Media Icon Limited
("Media Icon") to act as its air time sales house. The Media Icon team has vast
experience in TV, cinema and out of home advertising and they will be managing
the sale of advertising and sponsorship on both the Company's Performance
channels.

Commenting on Eicom's new channel launch, chairman John Sanderson said:

"It is excellent to see that we are finally realising the first of our outlined
objectives. After the initial launch phase we expect this channel to make a
useful contribution to the Company's fixed cost base."

Steve Timmins, Chief Executive, added:

"We have always known that we have two distinct audiences for the Performance
Channel - those who love classical music and those who want to watch classic
rock. By creating Performance MainStreet we believe we can satisfy both
audiences much better and thus hope to deliver increased ratings and ultimately
higher revenues."

Responding to their appointment as Air Time Sales House, Media Icon's Mike Gull
commented:

"We are thrilled to have been appointed to handle Eicom's account at such an
exciting time. With the launch of Performance Mainstreet and the continuing
growth of the Performance Channel we shall be targeting products with direct
synergy to the stations' audience delivery."

                                    - ENDS -
