26/10/2022 13:42 | I see nothing has changed in the bunch of idiots in charge They vote it through then change their minds a week later Bunch of fracking They are incredible so it is pointless voting for anything because whoever is in charge can do what they want Surely they will have to have another vote at the very least? | ntv
26/10/2022 12:13 | something has set it off just now | currypasty
26/10/2022 12:10 | We'll have to agree to differ on that , but I think that the ousting of Rees-Tabby should speak volumes. | bionicdog
26/10/2022 11:58 | I don't think so Bionic and here's why, despite the chaos at the vote - which was carried don't forget - in Parli last week. If Sunak loses the next election, regardless of by how much, he is toast. So he needs to delay that election for as long as possible. He can legally/constitution So that gives fracking companies a two-year window to get going, prove it is safe and works. And importantly - and generate various revenues (including income taxes) for UK PLC. That would boost our economy. So even if Lab did win in late 2024 or Jan 2025, Frackers would still have made dosh and then Lab would be forced to decide if they'll undermine our energy output, and throw away good revenue by stopping fracking. I can't see them doing that then - they would find a way to wriggle out of it. But the more immediate short-term problem is how does "consulting locals" work? Who are "locals" to a fracking site? That's what may cause delays. | gerhart
26/10/2022 11:37 | I think that fracking will be off the table shortly. | bionicdog
26/10/2022 09:27 | Well, there's no doubt the results will be good, given the previous interims and the then latest at that time and the then forward looking. Let's hope they have guidance on plans for possibly the big fracking cherry. | gerhart
24/10/2022 14:24 | Anley, if you read further down...as I understand. No sale just dilution due to increased share numbers. ..."The change in the percentage ownership is due entirely to an increase in the issued share capital of Egdon Resources Plc. In addition, due to previous increases in Egdon Resources plc's issued share capital as of the following dates, the resulting ownership percentage at each of the relevant dates was as follows: 20 April 2020 - 14.11% 01 May 2020 - 13.93% 09 July 2021 - 9.31% 21 July 2021 - 8.85% 12. Date of Completion 21-Oct-2022 13. Place Of Completion | gerhart

24/10/2022 09:33 | Interesting comment in an article in today's Daily Mail by journalist, Dominic Lawson, (son of former chancellor of same surname) He says Rishi Sunak was more in favour of lifting ban on fracking than BJ. If so, then one assumes that will remain and be renewed as policy - especially after vote passed again in parliament last week. (despite chaos) So EDR and others - get on with it! Show peeps it works and all can benefit in some way! | gerhart
21/10/2022 11:01 | Only the government, with a working majority, can decide the date of the next general election. The other parties and lib left media can call as much as they want for an election. But Tories won't be voting for election any time soon, given their apparent place in the polls. So next general election could be as late as Jan 2025! (the max time left for this parliament) That is legally and constitutionally the case. Parties/Gov's are elected, not individuals as Prime Ministers. Next week the instability will be over. The Tories will unite and take fight to Lab. They know the only other way is oblivion. So fracking companies that move quickly could have profitable, operating wells (assuming they have commercially viable finds) well ahead of any election. Even if Lab win next time, if they see safe fracking and revenue being generated and UK energy supplies being safe guarded, they will not shut them. At very least they might just kick the issue further down the line. If you look at Starmer's record, he has just about ditched everything he has ever said he was for, whenever it suits. He'd have no trouble doing this. Look at promises made in bid to become leader - all ditched! I think Lab mainly wanted fracking blocked as they see how it could play out so positive and help save the Gov. Just cynical politics. | gerhart
