There's probably no cheaper time to acquire a transport operation than now, and with many of the little guys squeezed out by IR35, and the certainty of bankruptcies to follow this shutdown and ensuing slump, will take out a lot of capacity, so if you have the clout weather the storm the pickings will be good once things struggle back towards what passes for normalcy. Also the IR35 thing will deter small start ups, so the big boys will dominate the market. Looks like the survivors will be able to raise rates steeply.

999RP, about 50% of transport is off the road due to so much closed down industry, it's mostly only food related and mail/parcels that's moving now.(se RHA) So it depends on what contracts Stobarts have, and they may not be getting all the benefit from low fuel prices, since most contracts have caveats to protect the haulier from spikes in diesel prices, so it's quite likely there are clauses that work in the clients favour if prices fall?
