From the annual report

"Mike and I both keep an eye on bulletin boards and other investor commentary. Following from what I said above, we can't build a connection with investors if we don't know what they are thinking. Opinions and comments are diverse as you would expect but my stand-out favourite, made not long after our appointment, was to nickname us "Ant and Dec". Quite whether the author meant it this way, I am not sure, but I enjoyed it as an apt description."

So, be careful in what you might say, because you might be in the next annual report ;-)

'I have no doubt we will get at least one by May/June, and maybe even a second come August, but beyond that I would be surprised if the data allowed a third. A third cut would likely need to come at the expense of either the equity market or the jobs market, with a material jump in unemployment probably meaning recession. As such, a hawkish repricing at some point this year should be something investors be cautious of as we progress through 2024.

If not, having an allocation in one’s portfolio to precious metals ought to serve investors well.'

Just when will cashed up ECR Minerals hit the Jackpot ask @TMSreach "...the company is well placed to continue to roll out a busy programme for 2024 with a set of promising assets and money in the bank. In the near term, prospective investors should look out for results from continued exploration and drilling at Bailieston, Creswick and Lolworth...."https://total-market-solutions.com/2024/03/ecr-minerals-plc-3/

I think they are doing a grand job and have done a lot in a short space of time. I, for one, am glad that Adam is still the main techie, but I think his move aside will mean that he will no longer be investor facing as he is a great dampener of enthusiasm. We need legacy stuff sorted, like selling the real estate, to give us a bit more elbow room and it will be good to hear if the Perth visit dug up any interest from the big boys that Craig was supposed to be courting re joint ops.

I think our directors have been pressing the flesh and trying hard to attract investors. However, I think the potential investors are not convinced due to the lack of progress in our key properties in Victoria, which is what attracted us in the first place years ago.

Potential Exploration Targets Defined from Recently Completed LIDAR Survey at the Hurricane Project, North Queensland

ECR Minerals plc (LON: ECR), the exploration and development company focused on gold in Australia is pleased to announce it has received data from the recently completed LIDAR survey at exploration tenements (EPM 27518, EPM 25855 and EPM 19437) located in NE Queensland, together known as the Hurricane Project ("Hurricane Project"). Interpretation of the LIDAR data shows potential outcrops along strike at the existing Gold and Antimony mineralised quartz breccias known as the Tornado, Cyclone and Holmes prospects.

HIGHLIGHTS

-- Aerial LIDAR survey completed over exploration tenements EPM 27518, EPM
25855 and EPM 19437, together known as the Hurricane Project.

-- Interpretation of LIDAR shows resistant ridgeline structures along
strike at the existing Gold and Antimony mineralised quartz breccias
known as the Tornado, Cyclone and Holmes prospects. The Board believes
that the structures could also host other mineralised breccias that have
yet to be explored.

-- A follow up site visit to evaluate the identified structures with rock
chip sampling will take place in August 2023.

ECR CEO Andrew Haythorpe commented: The ECR board are acutely aware of the impact that challenging markets are currently having on our shareholders, and I am therefore pleased to be able to report solid progress at our Hurricane project, with some high resolution detail generated by the recent LIDAR survey. This is a project that I personally have detailed knowledge of and am vested in through work undertaken prior to my joining ECR as CEO. Our plan is to get boots back on the ground next month in order that we can firm up what the historical data, early fieldwork and the LIDAR findings have led us to believe -- which is that Hurricane is a later stage gold and antimony property with exceptional near-term development potential."

"I look forward to reporting on progress in the coming weeks and months."

LIDAR SURVEY

The LIDAR (Light detection and ranging) survey is a well proven aerial survey method that sends out thousands of laser points to map the undulations of the ground surface in incredible detail. The initial Hurricane project LIDAR survey took place over an area of 50 square kilometres during the May to June in order to evaluate the terrain and plan for drill access to the Tornado, Cyclone and Holmes prospects (see Figure One above).

INTERPRETATION OF LIDAR DATA

The processing of the LIDAR data has revealed a number of such topography highs along strike at the Tornado, Cyclone and Holmes prospects (see Figure Two above), and in particular we are pleased to note that the weathering of the rock surrounding these known mineralised quartz breccias and stockwork veins has produced detailed, high resolution topography pictures. Although the Company cannot confirm that the outcrops identified from LIDAR host any mineralisation at this juncture, historically LIDAR interpretations generally represent a cost and time effective way to identify targets with potential for extensions to mineralisation, and these results add to our confidence in the project potential.

NEXT STEPS

The geology team have now scheduled a 'boots on the ground' field visit to investigate these targets during August. The targets will be mapped and rock chip samples will be taken to evaluate any mineralisation at the delineated targets, and also to provide additional targets for follow-up drilling.

Oil: If I buy a car and shag the clutch deliberately for 10k miles... Sell it to you and you need a new clutch in 200 miles; would you expect to be blamed for your misappropriate use of the car, or would you suspect the previous owner had nailed it and passed it over to you as it was on its way out?Sometimes things aren't always as they seem. But what I can say is that the previous actions have stuck ECR as a red flag share. And as a result a lot of investors will steer clear of it and move to competitor stocks. This lack of volume and volatility means that the share price drifts (unless news grants otherwise) until ultimately a stock has to raise at a level much lower than it should, bringing mass dilution and any chance of those previously invested getting their returns, turning the stock into a trading toy. These guys need some solid finds. Consecutively, and quickly, for our sake.
