Hopefully we get the Verkhuba gold assays soon which could be a nice bit of icing on the cake.

Topped up this am - makes the metrics on the holding look better.
The open pit makes things much more viable even if a placing is required to fund the set up etc.

A few buys incoming....people starting to understand they've possibly found a very low cost open pit copper mine with precious metal credits with a very supportive government.

If anyone has any additional questions, direct message me with your questions, I'll then put them together and email Alex with the questions. I'll also ask him if it is acceptable to share them on here to get that signed off.
Cheers, TC.

Thanks scrawl, unfortunately I was busy last night (I live in China) and couldn't attend to listen and ask questions. Looking forward to going through it this morning.

Should there be a 2.7 to 3.0 multiple in there for rock density or something like that? :-)

Anyone have the fully diluted share figure?

I think it's $600M in the ground
5,000,000 * 0.015 * 8,000 = 600,000,000

smewhat agree with you, scrwal. I'll be speaking with Alex in the coming week (I'm a large holder in another Kazakhstan-focused exploration play).

Still, if you consider the uniqueness of their location/situation (e.g. near processing infrastructure), even these early numbers are increadibly encouraging.

If they model this at 5Mt (lower end from the resource model), at say 1.5% copper, it's $6bn of copper in the ground at $8k copper. This excludes any credits for zinc, gold etc (although I don't know about the processing capacity of these). Still, if there's meaningful secondary commodities, it also opens up a potential non/limited-dilutive scenario of royalty/stream funding in the future.

I don't know much more about East Star, but I'll start researching it more extensively now im building up a position bigger than just taking a punt.

I think the problem is how things are being presented namely Alex talks about the 0.38% cut off which he says is conservative and mentions a 1% level could be likely but there isn't any data supplied to really support this.
I think that there should be much more disclosed showing gross % yield and then showing the discounted % yield by commodity together with say the tonnage gross and net and some sort of sensitivity analysis because he mentions a lot of figures being on the prudent side.
Maybe a big presentation is done that shows various scenarios from low to optimistic obviously highlighting the most realistic outcome/range.

The market is confused by a lot of info being presented as being on the conservative side , which is ok with mining, but to then in the same breath mention a higher figure just causes uncertainty over how big is this event. It is being downplayed but investors and the market can't really get a proper handle on the full upside at the moment.

Alex talks to Zak Mir about things
