Scep - sure, DWF is a fine company - I know some firms who are clients. But that's not enough for the market.

First, they have net debt, which isn't good with a law firm which also has big debtors. They see fit to stress their debt collection records and lower debt than expected, but why even mention it? And then there's CEO leaving - not so transparent.

I don't know what price I'd be a buyer here, look at the chart! But yes, at some point maybe.

I have my eye on this. Despite the recent profit warning they are still a decent firm imo

Would far rather own GTLY - better managed, lower valuation and much stronger balance sheet.

I bought DWF this morning at 58p. Think that lawyers are going to do well from the avalanche of litigation that’s going to follow the global pandemic. DWF now offers global reach and will be well positioned to benefit. BUY!

A good entry point would be somewhere in the 50's. Will it fall that far?
They have a lot of debt and I abhor debt in a law firm

I never look at market cap when I start analysing and only come back to it after I have worked out what I think a fair market cap should be after adjusting for debt, markets etc. Unfortunately I think DWF is currently valued pretty fairly even with the massive recent drop and I wouldn't be looking at it unless it was a bargain, which for me would be about 40p. Just my guess, but any partner who was not a fan of the IPO has probably helped push the Managing Partner out the door.

Out first thing. The CEO resigning with immediate effect- I thought that only happens at dodgy AIM companies, not FTSE listed enterprises. I didn't know what to make of the trading update, just too difficult to call so overall I made the decision to sell out first thing. In the words of Mr Livermore, a loss never bothers me after I take it. GLAH.

Been looking at the results and at the comments earlier today, and guess what - I think given the circumstances these ARE a positive set of results. Over-sold. A good medium-term play.. I'm buying.
