Thank you keelstow, I never thought of googling, despite having done it for so many other things.

SP looking weak again. I'm still hoping I may find a reason to buy and DRX can survive against the more efficient producers.

I'm trying to find reasons to buy (apart from trying to guess when a temporary spike might come before resuming the downtrend), but struggling. DRX seem to be well out of date compared to the other efficient gas fired power stations and seemingly failing and/or being let down in it's green attempt.

Anyone know how DRX came to be listed and when? cheers NR

Cheers.Wonder when we will be hearing from the EU viz Investment contract validity for third unit.

Complete shambles the coalition Govt's energy policy. As indeed it was under Labour for the prior 13 years..

Rather than spending £12bn per year on foreign aid, for example, they should be spending money on power generation plants to ensure security& availability of supply for the tax paying citizens of this country.

Yes the second unit, and also subsidy rates may be cut. See this February 2015

"Drax haven't qualified for the enhanced subsidy on biomass and are now spending money on legal action. How good is the case against the government?"

That's the second unit right?

They're still awaiting EU sign off on the investment contract for Unit 3 surely?

No growth and falling earnings for the last few years?

Drax haven't qualified for the enhanced subsidy on biomass and are now spending money on legal action. How good is the case against the government?

Until then, I can't see any reason to own them unless some crazy takeover bid comes and who wants old coal fired plants or biomass with which doesn't qualify when you can build further Gas powered ones.

Just read the Mail article and it is very critical indeed.

Sunday Mail printed a pretty contentious article about this co. And it's green credentials, as regards wood pellets, maybe the U.S. Should stop building houses out of wood in that case, how many trees felled to build a housing estate over there.

SSE closing it's coal fired stations like ferrybridge.

I fear a fund raising myself seeing how the profits have dwindled over the years. What is the way forward for profitability here?

Several years of profits decline. Dividend Cut. Finance Director leaves for another Job.

Rights Issue coming IMO.

Might get some peaks and troughs for quick trades but be ready holding the parcel when the music stops.

All my views. Anyone see a different scenario? cheers NR.

14-day ROC looks good for a very nice move up.
Tension from a long rangebound period might get released at last.

bookbroker share price fall indicates problems and potentially a rights issue ahead IMO.

" Tony has been an excellent Finance Director and has played a key role in the transformation of the Group."

Does anyone know what is meant by 'transformation'??

The share price is lower than 10 years ago and profits have continued to decline dramatically over the last few years ( plunged may be more appropriate)and there was a dividend cut recently.

FD leaving, hardly earth shattering, however share price would imply he is irreplaceable, but been there for ten years, probably wants a change of scenery from the Humber River, hardly inspiring!
