16/6/2015 09:36 | Thank you keelstow, I never thought of googling, despite having done it for so many other things. SP looking weak again. I'm still hoping I may find a reason to buy and DRX can survive against the more efficient producers. | nick rubens
10/6/2015 16:29 | everything you may want to know? | keelstow
10/6/2015 15:42 | I'm trying to find reasons to buy (apart from trying to guess when a temporary spike might come before resuming the downtrend), but struggling. DRX seem to be well out of date compared to the other efficient gas fired power stations and seemingly failing and/or being let down in it's green attempt. Anyone know how DRX came to be listed and when? cheers NR | nick rubens
10/6/2015 08:45 | Cheers.Wonder when we will be hearing from the EU viz Investment contract validity for third unit. Complete shambles the coalition Govt's energy policy. As indeed it was under Labour for the prior 13 years.. Rather than spending £12bn per year on foreign aid, for example, they should be spending money on power generation plants to ensure security& availability of supply for the tax paying citizens of this country. | fangorn2
10/6/2015 08:42 | Yes the second unit, and also subsidy rates may be cut. See this February 2015 | nick rubens
09/6/2015 17:31 | "Drax haven't qualified for the enhanced subsidy on biomass and are now spending money on legal action. How good is the case against the government?" That's the second unit right? They're still awaiting EU sign off on the investment contract for Unit 3 surely? | fangorn2
09/6/2015 15:58 | No growth and falling earnings for the last few years? Drax haven't qualified for the enhanced subsidy on biomass and are now spending money on legal action. How good is the case against the government? Until then, I can't see any reason to own them unless some crazy takeover bid comes and who wants old coal fired plants or biomass with which doesn't qualify when you can build further Gas powered ones. Just read the Mail article and it is very critical indeed. | nick rubens
07/6/2015 19:00 | Sunday Mail printed a pretty contentious article about this co. And it's green credentials, as regards wood pellets, maybe the U.S. Should stop building houses out of wood in that case, how many trees felled to build a housing estate over there. | bookbroker
30/5/2015 14:22 | behind the scenes at Drax | keelstow
21/5/2015 15:11 | SSE closing it's coal fired stations like ferrybridge. I fear a fund raising myself seeing how the profits have dwindled over the years. What is the way forward for profitability here? | nick rubens
19/5/2015 16:24 | this guy seems confident enough to have spent £65 million | keelstow
19/5/2015 15:49 | Several years of profits decline. Dividend Cut. Finance Director leaves for another Job. Rights Issue coming IMO. Might get some peaks and troughs for quick trades but be ready holding the parcel when the music stops. All my views. Anyone see a different scenario? cheers NR. | nick rubens
14/5/2015 11:04 | 14-day ROC looks good for a very nice move up. Tension from a long rangebound period might get released at last. | bakunin
09/5/2015 12:33 | Schroders have doubled their holding Number of shares before 20,306,409 Number of shares after 41,144,730 | yobstol
08/5/2015 10:55 | Shorters really are the scum of the earth. Scaremongering rubbish. | bakunin
06/5/2015 22:27 | 6. Date on which issuer notified: 5 May 2015 -------------------- 7. Threshold(s) that is/are crossed or reached: Above 10% | keelstow
06/5/2015 20:33 | Am I reading this correct, have Schroders doubled their holding? | yobstol
29/4/2015 11:43 | bookbroker share price fall indicates problems and potentially a rights issue ahead IMO. | nick rubens
29/4/2015 11:30 | " Tony has been an excellent Finance Director and has played a key role in the transformation of the Group." Does anyone know what is meant by 'transformation'?? The share price is lower than 10 years ago and profits have continued to decline dramatically over the last few years ( plunged may be more appropriate)and there was a dividend cut recently. | nick rubens
29/4/2015 10:33 | FD leaving, hardly earth shattering, however share price would imply he is irreplaceable, but been there for ten years, probably wants a change of scenery from the Humber River, hardly inspiring! | bookbroker
28/4/2015 08:48 | Looks to have seen the bottom in price, hopefully see a sustained upward curve from here! | bookbroker |
