Press comments have started:

Daily Mail:

Company watchers believe there is more to come from Domino's, which now has more than 450 stores in the UK and Ireland.

Altium Securities' analyst Greg Feehely says that Domino's is also set to gain from a heavyweight television advertising campaign, burgeoning online orders and its 'relentless' focus on speedy delivery which sees its pizzas delivered in 20 minutes on average - twice as quickly as its nearest rival.

Mr Feehely said: 'The shares have justifiably been excellent performers over the last year yet further progress remains likely in our view.

'The lack of exposure to the smoking ban is a further positive.'

Good results this morning I see. Wasn't expecting such a huge rise in profits so thats really great. The dividend increasing by 46% - nows that mind blowing not sure any comapny has increased its Interim divi by such a large amount. This shows how confident the board are when looking forward to the rest of the year.

Nice to see profits will exceed market expectations come the year end.

I have some spare cash so i will certainly top up at this level

Thanks to one and all and what a superb company Domino's is.

The press carry weight when it comes to bringing new investors on board - ignore at your peril.

Just noticed the 46% increase in the dividend is paid at the end of August for those holding the shares on the 3rd August - earlier payout than I had expected which is nice.

Trt,

I'm unphased by media hype. In fact, it often encourages me to take the opposite view to them.

Very very dangerous after such news on massive profit increases and hugh dividend increase.
Broker upgrades due shortly and no doubt press tips as well. In fact Shares Mag who tipped DOM will also publish on Thursday.
All the above providing even more impetus to the share price.

Soulman,

I've look at DOM again and the rating is way too high in my opinion. You will therefore be pleased to know that I have gone short at 290p.

Regards.

mikeprior,

Hope you enjoy the holiday and you should come back to plenty of broker upgrades and revised share price targets.

Guys, I don't have an axe to grind (although I do have a substantial holding) but you clearly won't see eye to eye and whilst you both (trt & techmark) have good arguable points to make, at the end of the day it's a personal decision.

For sure the right thing to do is identify companies that are prime targets for share price growth and get in there before the crowd. We all would love to be able to do this everytime. However that doesn't mean that more mature business's (in terms of their sp) aren't worth investing in. It's simply a case of having a different set of criteria to use when assessing whether to stay or go in terms of share ownership.

For now just be happy that the results are great and are impacting on the price but be under no illusions (as I'm sure you're not) that all stocks need to be re-assessed regularly to confirm that they are still worth holding.

ANyway for me, I'm off for a couple of weeks in the sun today and so I can't think of a nicer way to go !

Good luck to all !

I'm not short but I will be soon once trt and his merry band of pay any rating for the stock brigade drive the price to ridiculous levels.

Let see how long his vindication lasts shall we. When the shares get whacked because the growth of the company slows and people are no longer prepared to overpay for the stock. I wonder if trt will still be posting on this board.
