Domino's Pizza UK & IRL - 225p

"Ahead of annoucing results on 28 February, Domino's said that like-for-like sales grew 13.2% for the six weeks to 31 December which has boosted like-for-like sales growth for the full year to end December by 6.6%. This was largely due to aggressive marketing for a new product launch, a two layer pizza called double decadence. Habing opened 19 stores during H1, Domino's opened 21 during H2 (taking the total to 357). This reflected delays earlier in the year getting coucils to issue trading licenses for new stores. Numis expects eps of 12.5p for this year just ended and has pencilled in 15.3p this year, for a prospective PE of 14.5.

The shares were a buy aty 61.5p in Aug'01 but have gone sideways recently. The downside risk looks small. Buy".

There ya go. :)

I remember reading just after results about this time last year that despite the results being good, the City wasn't convinced DOM could keep up its rate of growth. Maybe everyone knew the share price would sleep for a while so haven't had much to say for a while. In the meantime DOM have been proving themselves.

Let's hope the forthcoming results will give the City a wake-up call.

Its funny and I have often commented on it before.
You have here a product that virtually the entire western world knows about, a company that is excellently run that is sticking to its knitting has had phenominal growth as has its share price and we have virtually no posters.
Why is that? Is it because there is too much consensus on that fact? Does everyone agree this is a winner?

I think that the 2.65 will be light. These results will probably be slightly better than expected. Three weeks away yet.
