The entry point is a bit too [ricey, considering the dire conditions of the market at the moment. |

Aren't royalties paid as a percentage of EBITDA/gross-net profits? The cost of labour (and increased employer NIC) should to be deducted before the cut for the franchisor is calculated. Resulting in decreased revenue for Domino's. |
Labour cost pressures are not really material to this company. Its something that impacts franchisees and their profitability. Domino's as a franchisor make money from selling supplies, and receiving royalties.
Issue here is that their franchisees have consolidated and organised, and have been able to extract greater and greater concessions (particularly in terms of opening split territory stores). So any labour pressures and the franchisee group will be back demanding concessions. (albeit there is a 5 year agreement in place).
Domino's UK is a very strong business with great unit economics, growing whilst their competition is struggling to compete - I like the stock at these levels. |

All companies employing people, are going to be affected by this increase in employer N.I.
Seems a strange way to increase productivity by put up the cost of employing people.
I hope the government knows what they are doing. Maybe they have a cunning plan, that they are keeping secret.

Well that doesn't sound overly bad news to me. Just got to get on with it. Suet |
As with other major employers in the UK, the recent UK budget has significantly increased the cost of labour for both DPG and our franchise partners, who are particularly impacted. Although we have identified specific mitigation plans, we now believe that the annual impact for DPG will be c.£3m per annum from FY25 onwards |
