The residents of Coventry can now order Domino's for breakfast, lunch, dinner or as a midnight snack. And it's a move that marketing manager, Kerry Lloyd, thinks will prove popular: "We are happy to have been granted permission to open our Coventry store on a 24-hour basis. "Now our local pizza loving residents will be able to order their favourite pizza whenever they like. Domino's is happy to provide this service and hopes that local residents will take advantage of our 24-hour opening." | philanderer

04/1/2012 13:26 | More detail... Broker Collins Stewart said that while the update was good it did not provide for much by the way of upgrades as volume driven sales growth will be difficult to achieve in 2012, though new openings could provide momentum. At 25 December there were 726 stores in the UK, Republic of Ireland and Germany. Of these, 575 stores are in England, 48 are in Scotland, 28 are in Wales, 19 are in Northern Ireland, one is on the Isle of Man, one is a mobile unit, 48 are in the Republic of Ireland and six are in Germany. Collins Stewart suggests Domino could increase its roll-out from 60 new stores to 75-80, acquire smaller operators in Germany in order to ramp up its growth profile or beef up investment in innovation, e-commerce and franchisee support. It still has a buy rating on the shares though it says the group needs to lay out a strategy that will drive the volume growth neded for upgrades. Peel Hunt was more cautious saying that Domino's is a "good but not an exceptional performer in today's highly competitive consumer market". "It retains a strong medium-term attraction arising from its near 50 per cent online profile, further expansion in the UK, and the potential of its German market entry. But for the next two years we now expect low to mid-teens earnings growth." Hold says the broker. | philanderer

04/1/2012 08:48 | :-D Pizza delivery firm Domino's Pizza saw a slow-down in year-on-year like-for-like sales growth in the final quarter of 2012, but still achieved growth above some analysts' forecasts. In the 13 weeks to December 25th, LFL sales rose by 3.6%, down from the preceding quarter's 3.9% growth. Panmure Gordon had predicted LFL sales growth of 3.3%. System sales for the period increased by 9.5% to £145.0m from £132.5m in the corresponding period of last year. | philanderer

03/1/2012 09:06 | As always on the day before the release of numbers Panmure reiterates their 'sell' and 350p target. edit: some detail.. Analysts at Panmure Gordon are today reiterating their sell verdict on shares of Domino´s Pizza. This ahead of the company´s interim management statement expected out tomorrow. In particular, the broker believes that the company´s rate of sales growth will be weighed upon by "relatively tough comps and mild weather." Hence, it expects the company to report 3.3% like-for-like sales growth for Q4, below the 3.9% rate seen in Q3. As well, Panmure Gordon highlights how, "the stock now trades at 24,1 times its 2011 price/earnings ratio and at a Enterprise Value/EBITDA (operating profits) multiple of 14.1, supported by a 3.0% yield. For a stock we forecast to grow earnings by approximately 11% in 2012 we view this as too expensive. We reiterate our sell recommendation and target price of 350p." | philanderer
