Unless it is a typo, various sites are indicating that Goldman Sachs have cut DOM's target price from 280p to 230p. Didn't they have a TP of 630p only a couple of months ago?!

You`d have thought the share price would have shown a little strength now in the run up - not too many trading days left.

A bit concerning at sub 400p.

'Google crowns royal wedding as fastest-rising UK search of 2011'

.....The squeeze on UK living standards is also apparent from the food searches, which this year are headed by Asda, recipes, Tesco, Sainsburys and pizza. Close behind those budget-conscious choices, and pointing to even tighter times ahead, are chicken, chocolate, Dominos (the pizza delivery company), Morrisons (supermarket chain) and Argos. Those compare with the same category for last year, which Google's press release then showed as starting with Tesco and recipes, and then Asda, pizza, wine, Sainsburys, Jamie Oliver, Morrisons, cakes and curry.

Evening EI, sitting on around 90% cash in my portfolio now and I just can`t make myself commit any more to this market at present.

European scenario looks dire.

FT article tomorrow:

"Domino's targets German growth"

.."It's greenfield territory for us – it's like the UK was 25 years ago where fewer people ate pizza and there were less food deliveries," he says.
By the end of the year Domino's will have six outlets there – five in Berlin – with plans to open another 12 next year and a target of 400 in a decade.

Muj Yasin, franchisee for the new store, said: "We are looking forward to opening another store in Birmingham and to employing people who live in the community that we'll be serving.

"First and foremost, we'll be looking for people who can deliver great customer service and demonstrate strong teamwork skills, as well as boundless enthusiasm."

And a bit of a shocker from Metro..

"Metro, the German retail giant which is the world's fourth biggest behind Wal-Mart, Carrefour and Tesco, issued a shock profits warning on Tuesday as its key Christmas shopping season had a disastrous start, sending its shares down more than 10pc. It blamed the eurozone debt crisis for undermining confidence in a clear sign German consumers are suffering."
