They have until end of June.

Annual accounts

Suspension of lottery sales
10 March 2015
Sectors
LOTTERY
There are two new reasons given for the current lottery suspension into why lottery sales
have been suspended by a number of provinces in China. There is still no official word on
when this will be resolved.
· Some online distributors are engaging in illegal online practices and are not
registering all of their sales with a provincial lottery centres.
· Local governments are complaining to the central government about lost revenue
from the growth in online sales.
At this time, there is no further clarity on how long it will take time for the lottery
investigations to be complete and normal business to be restarted.
We continue to believe that high quality agents that have operated under the law will
emerge in a stronger position as smaller players are removed.

There are two new reasons given for the current lottery suspension:
First, some online distributors are engaging in illegal online practices and are not
registering all of their sales with a provincial lottery centres. In practice this amounts
to stealing from the provincial lottery centres. In cases where the odds of the bettor
winning are unlikely, some agents have not registered the sale with a lottery centre in
order to keep all profits from the bet.
This practice can be rectified through investigations into lottery sellers, which is
ongoing. It will take time, but can be resolved as lottery agents are removed from the
market. Another solution would be to increase minimum capital requirements on the
industry to drive out smaller players while accounting for the greater risk assumed by
agents.
Second, local governments are complaining to the central government about lost
revenue from the growth in online sales. All lottery products sold online are linked to
a particular province and commission is allocated to the province where the product
comes from, rather than where the sale is made. So, for example, if someone in Beijing
goes online and buys a product sold by a Shanghai lottery centre, Shanghai gets the
commission and Beijing gets nothing. Provincial lottery bureau are complaining about
this system because the market is growing rapidly and everyone wants a larger piece
of the pie.

We believe the solution to this will be to split revenues more evenly between the
provinces. Currently, 50-69% of the ticket price is paid out to consumers on successful
bets, 25-30% goes to the government fund and 15% is paid to provincial lottery centres
and agents as commission. Agents usually receive 9-13% and provincial lottery centres
get 2-6%. While the current breakdown for the commissions will remain unchanged
(benefiting the centre that has authorized the product), there could be greater sharing
of the government fund. Currently, the government fund revenue is split 50:50
between the central government and the local government who has the authorized product. In the future, the local government in which the consumer resides may also
receive some of this government fund.

At this time, there is no further clarity on how long it will take time for the lottery
investigations to be complete and normal business to be restarted. We continue to
believe that high quality agents that have operated under the law will emerge in a
stronger position as smaller players are removed.

Regarding the trade, there was a buyer and a seller, that's it. Regarding the rns there have been news articles circulating the internet since feb so you don't need to be a rocket scientist to know it will have an effect on dji. Like I said earlier hold or fold, nobody likes loosing money but it happens. I am probably down more than most on this board but it happens sometimes. I'm sorry but the simple truth is the cards are stacked against you and if you don't like it, don't play. I don't mean to sound blunt but that's the way it is.

ToyinAyesha is right, you miss the point. AIM is a casino in terms of whether a fledgling business can cut it or not, that is totally different from knowingly slowing a false market to occur. That RNS was a week late and I for one would like to know why. Further, it remains to be seen whether it is actually going to play out like that ? That is the lottery, not the late announcement.Q12

I understand your frustration, but that's the game. Decide to hold or fold and then stand by it and don't get frustrated, that wont help you. This is a casino plain and simple!

I'm annoyed someone managed to sell 100k at 90p with us left holding shares worth 30% less.Management say results are bumper and will be with us soon. There are also a couple of other announcements also. Lottery suspension should be lifted by end of month in their opinion.Great buying opportunity I agree but have no funds.

Trading update

In response to the Notice on "Issues Related to Self-Inspection and Self-Remedy of Unauthorized Online Lottery Sales" promulgated jointly by the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Civil Affairs and the General Administration of Sports of the People's Republic of China, a number of Provincial Lottery Centres have temporarily suspended accepting online purchase orders for lottery products from 1 March 2015 while they undergo their respective self-inspection processes.

During this short suspension, lottery sales across the industry in China will be materially reduced. However, DJI Holdings plc (AIM:DJI, "the Company", "DJI") believes that online sales will resume in the near future and, as such, this suspension will not have a material impact on its full year results for 2015. DJI is continuing to sell welfare and sports lottery tickets through mobile channels and land-based outlets and will resume online sales immediately once the suspension is lifted.

The Company views the temporary suspension as an important step in controlling unauthorised online lottery sales to ensure healthy development of the online lottery market in China. DJI believes such measures will have long-term beneficial effects on the industry. The Company continues to engage actively with all relevant authorities regarding this situation and will provide a further update when additional information is available.

Note to editors

DJI's strategy is to capitalise on the rapidly expanding Chinese lottery market and the opportunity to deliver lottery ticket fulfilment sales to its substantial client base of large Chinese corporations (B2B) and individual consumers via the Group's owned and operated websites (B2C), within the online and mobile environment.

Through the Group's long-standing relationships with the Chinese regulators, portfolio of lottery contracts and reliable technology platform, the Group is well-positioned to capture the market opportunity.

The principal activities of the Group are the development, promotion and distribution of authorised lottery products in China. DJI's subsidiaries are licensed and/or contractually authorised to distribute and promote Sports and Welfare lottery products online, via mobile and through physical retail outlets across China.

The Group has a differentiated approach to the Chinese lottery market in that DJI operates throughout the promotion and distribution value chain. The Group offers:

-- front-end lottery ticket sales via websites owned and operated by the Group, third party websites, mobile applications and physical retail outlets; and

-- back-office lottery ticket fulfilment services to large online and offline

This co is v highly geared. The suspension of lotto is more thanprob price sensitive info, it will more than likely affect revenue streams so has this management created a false market, delaying releasing what they know and investiture didn't ?Questions must be asked. Did the NOMaD get told, if so what did they advise and why ? The info becoming public eventually did blooter the share price so it was price sensitive chaps ffs. The BoD are supposedly very experienced, a CA, a couple of double barrelled names, an Irish Lotto expert and the company has 300 folks working in China, so somebody knew. Why was this plowed to happen on your watch chaps, I suggest you get your butts in gear and earn your non exec wedge, get an announcement out of the execs forthwith you tools and hold an enquiry pronto.Ps make sure there are no porkies now......just because all the ops are in China is no excuse.Q12

It's a clear out of unauthorised online operators and the online lotto suspension is temporary (perhaps a month or two like they did a few years ago). Painful in the short term, this is actually good for DJI in the longer run as it is an officially approved operator.
For me, the joint venture agreement with Xinhua was the key for DJI and will be its passport to legally tap the huge ($60b?) online lotto market in China as the unofficial operators are swept away.

Big risk v V.Big reward.
