The large increase in share trades over the past week may indicate that things are moving. From an inspection of the Nasdaq site, it takes from lodgement of the application to answering queries to grant/rejection of the application up to 6 weeks for the Nasdaq application to be considered

I think the official announcement may come during the ongoing Congress. Perhaps as early as next week. Wonder if this company are in the frame for some contracts? An RNS is overdue otherwise a further sell-off IMHO.

There are signs of the restarting of lottery online sales. In early March MOF, MOCA and State General Administration of Sports announced the Investigation Report of illegal online lottery sales. Inside this report, it states that trail internet and mobile App lottery sales will be recovered under relevant authorities’ proper management and supervision. In fact, what had been suspended last year is only the internet lottery sales. The authorities hope that the internet lottery sales will be properly developed. It also provides policy for those qualified website to follow to restart the internet lottery sales.
All those sensitive giant portals captured this policy trend. Beginning this week, Ali-lottery announced that it acquired AG Tech HK shares in a price of 2 billion RMB. AG Tech becomes the exclusive platform for Taobao and Ali-lottery. Insiders predict that through the acquisition of AG Tech, it is an important move for Ali-lottery to follow closely with the recombination of many other big websites, and they also predict that soon there will be news regarding the restart of online lottery sales through Taobao and Alipay. NetEase Lottery also sends SMS to its old lottery players to remind them the coming online lottery sales.
This year is a big year for sports, huge investments come into all the top level clubs makes the China Super League receives much concerns, besides the European Champion Cup, the Olympic Games, and the Copa America which are celebrating its 100th anniversary, all these factors will bring the online lottery sales lead by sports lottery huge revenues. Some institutions believe that the gaming and lottery industry in China just started, annual increase of the lottery market is between 18% and 25%, this year it is likely to hit 500 billion RMB. Take the penetration rate at 20%-40% for paperless lottery in developed countries for calculation, in 2016 sales revenue of paperless lottery in China will be around 135 billion RMB. Take the experience in2014 world cup for reference, in that year, online lottery sales has an increase rate of 100%. Sports lottery experts predict during the 2016 National Sports Lottery Conference that if the online lottery sales restarts before the beginning of China Super League, sales revenue generates by online sales will reach 200-300 billion RMB.

China has two State-run lotteries: the China Sports Lottery and China Welfare Lottery.

The Ministry of Finance approved two companies－500.com Ltd and China Sports Lottery Operation Co Ltd－to sell online lottery tickets, under a pilot program before the suspension.

Li Kai, an analyst with the Beijing-based Internet consultancy Analysys International, said that the suspension of online lottery sales is likely to be lifted within the year as officials at the annual lottery strategy meeting in January said they will actively push the preparatory work for a pilot online lottery sales program forward.

"China's lottery market is too big for two online lottery-selling companies to fill. More licenses are expected to be offered to more players," Li said.

I can't really say too much but the information I have is 1st March may see the ban lifted. Suspect there is some truth in it as one 500.com (WBAI) poster in the US seem to have heard something similar. I wouldn't be too excited as there is likely to be all sorts of new regulatory hurdles and local relationships may have moved on.

I have been surprised the share price didn't fall further, I must say, but there is really no liquidity for the MMs to bother.

I will look out for an RNS on Tuesday.
