Still topping-up using ii without paying stamp duty.

Being on the main market does not mean you have to pay stamp duty - POLY, FXPO ......

There's something about country of residence/operation going on that I don't quite understand.

Haven't come across the situation before where some brokers charge and others don't.

Now that DGOC is no longer on AIM, having moved to the main stock market, stamp duty should be charged on all purchases.

Yes. Don't forget the US withholding tax. You'll need a signed W8-ben to receive the div and experiences vary as to the level of withholding tax you'll pay perversely dependant on which brokrr you use. We all agree if you hold in sipp then no withholding tax otherwise 15% but some seem to get charged stamp duty on purchase while others don't.

As having only recently discovered DGO can I ask is the div paid in the UK in pounds converted from the US dollar divi or paid in cents. Thanks for any replies.

The management have always planned for the long term. That may mean as a result of hedging that in situations like this they don't make so much in the short term. However, I personally prefer good long term planning even if in the short term sometimes you don't make as much money.

I think one of the reasons people have not bought for the yield was that it seemed too high. However, as the price goes up that argument goes away.

The point is the dividend is sacred and is assured for the next couple of years at least. Try getting that rate anywhere else. What amazes me is that it has taken so long for investors to catch on.

If it is a rolling hedge it will still benefit from any price rise only on a delayed date. With forward hedging the management will know if and what profit can be made when the cost can be controlled

Exactly FB - this is the last bit of the heating season (its been extended by the current abnormal weather) - the price will move down from here into the 2's (hopefully not the 1's - but that was the case for much of 2020).

Let's not forget though that the current price maybe above the hedge but 2021 has 12 months and we're nearly at the end of the cold bit now.

RNS of 27/1/21:-

"• Robust hedge portfolio provides cash flow and dividend stability with ~90% of 2021 natural gas hedged at a weighted average floor price of $2.66/MMBtu

• Improved pricing outlook provides a constructive backdrop as the Company consistently layers in additional hedge protection in future years"

Current pricing gives a bit of bunce but more importantly, as the second bullet alludes to, the ability to negotiate higher hedges for the future years.

Must admit I was surprised by the 90% hedge for 2021 - from memory the past norm was 80%.

Ted.
Do we know what their hedge book looks like?
Increasing price not much use if future production has been sold forward at a lower figure.
I'm relatively new to this stock. Any info would be welcome.

Growing industrial consumption and exports support future U.S. natural gas market growth

US natural gas production will reach 43 trillion cubic feet in 2050, while consumption will grow to 35.7 Tcf, fueled by exports and industrial use, the Energy Information Administration projects in its latest Annual Energy Outlook 2021. Industrial gas consumption is forecast to rise by 35% from 2020 to 2050, and 45% of that growth will come from the bulk chemical industry.

It would be great to get above 130. I was in DGO last time it broke 130 for it to drop in the aftermath of an incorrect and damaging article. It feels like this share is only just recovering from that period. Good luck all including Blackrock which has acquired a few shares.

DGOC is heading the right direction over the last couple of weeks. What are your price targets towards the end of 2021? Of course there is much unknown like further acquisitions with Oaktree etc.

My PT on december 31st 2021: 180p.
