30/10/2019 10:27 | Geraldo, I was thinking that too, although I recall the interest on debt was smaller than the dividend payment. Wouldn't make more sense to buy shares rather than securities? the only advantage of buying securities is that securities are backed by asset so in case of insolvency (not saying that is going to happen, I am just speaking hypothetically) creditors have their capital exposed to a lesser risk of losses. | alotto
30/10/2019 10:16 | Seems to be in-house refinancing of debt? Presumably the proposed notes will be cheaper to service, with fewer/no covenant restrictions? | thegreatgeraldo
30/10/2019 10:07 | Certainly the market wast fazed by the RNS, the share price is quite stable. | alotto
30/10/2019 10:06 | It sounds contradictory to go for acquisitions and seeking a sell off of part of the asset creating a SPV. The only scenario I can envision is to turn part of the debt in liquidity, certainly not to pay off debt. Or they are looking to employ extra capital back into the business | alotto
30/10/2019 09:53 | Indeed, my Lord. This is the suspicion. | sogoesit
30/10/2019 09:11 | A fine bit of financial jiggery pokery if you ask me. Why not just use some of the excellent cash flow to pay down debt like anyone else? No doubt someone will tell me how it will be an awesome move for the company, but as a simple man I have learned not to trust anything that I don't understand. Financial sleight of hand being one such. | lord gnome
30/10/2019 08:26 | Thanks Sogoesit | alotto
30/10/2019 08:12 | New form of debt (securitisation) to pay down old form of debt partially. New form of debt in an entity which could also be sold to raise money (carving out assets). Depending on amount of partial repayment it could become debt-on-debt. I’m not an accountant, just a reader of financial statements so only IMV. I don’t hold anymore but watch and wait. | sogoesit
30/10/2019 08:09 | I didn't understand the rns too | alotto
30/10/2019 07:41 | Do I like the sound of the RNS? Someone please explain. | johnrxx99
16/10/2019 11:45 | Hi Lab, I was thinking today that this stock can easily be valued twice as much today's price. I wish I could add more. | alotto
16/10/2019 11:31 | Good news as usual this morning with more visibility into future liabilities. Besides that the preparations for a main listing and new auditors must be progressing. All this and an 8.6% dividend after withholding tax . Frustration isn't strong enough a word for it ! In a normal world the share price would be double this and still be cheap. Anyway I bought another 3k shares and will continue to buy as funds become available. Good luck to all holders though it's not luck we need but the market to have a reality check. | lab305
03/10/2019 06:32 | Thanks for sharing your view Lab | alotto
03/10/2019 02:59 | alotto this is a long game. Be patient. The LNG price is the main factor holding this down but they still make good money even at these prices and while it distresses other producers then there are bargains to be had. Appalachian LNG prices are less than half the world average . Just more pipelines to the coast will go some way to correct that.Winter is also coming . | lab305
02/10/2019 16:20 | Same for me, dividends received at net of 15% tax with IG. The share price doesn't seems to pick up, even in the light of the recent announcements about the possible move to the main market and the recent acquisition of assets. I find it odd, unless there is something I am underestimating, such as liabilities or unfavorable forecasted gas price. | alotto
27/9/2019 15:41 | Just received my dividend from interactive investor minus 15%tax as should be. | darrenp746
26/9/2019 15:41 | "The U.S. Energy Information Administration reported Thursday that domestic supplies of natural gas rose by 102 billion cubic feet for the week ended Sept. 20. The data were expected to show a build of 93 billion cubic feet, on average, according to analysts polled by S&P Global Platts. Total stocks now stand at 3.205 trillion cubic feet, up 444 billion cubic feet from a year ago, but 47 billion below the five-year average, the government said. October natural gas NGV19, -1.24% traded at $2.421 per million British thermal units, down 8.1 cents, or 3.2%, from Wednesday's settlement. The contract, which expires at the day's settlement, was trading at $2.468 before the data." | podgyted
26/9/2019 10:42 | I switched my DGOC holding from iweb to HL for this reason - only pay 15% at HL. | wirralowl
25/9/2019 19:25 | Bounty hunter, You’re right, I think I’m being stiched up, but probably quite a few folk might also be loosing out. I don’t currently hold DGOC and would probably never hold enough to bother wrestling with arrogant and lazy broker reps or the Inland Revenue.....I can’t afford the life sapping experience of their helpline. So more likely I will play the divi dodging game | damp seaweed
25/9/2019 18:52 | I take it you reside in the UK, in which case if you have completed the form your broker should only withhold 15%. If they say not I would check with the Inland Revenue who should confirm that and then get back to your broker. | bountyhunter
25/9/2019 18:50 | Yes but no. | bountyhunter
25/9/2019 18:45 | Is it possible to request the dividends to be paid in pounds (as I understood from today's RNS)and escape the tax altogether? | alotto
25/9/2019 18:41 | I think your broker is ripping you off DS, it should only be 15% if you have completed the form which is what I have been charged throughout the years by different brokers when in this situation (having completed the relevant form), they can't have it both ways! | bountyhunter
25/9/2019 18:34 | Forecast is for 16c dividend this year and growing. | gary1966 |
