30/11/2023 09:06 | SST are you a mate of Greygeorge on the LSE board? Your brand of claptrap is very similar to his own halucinogenic induced junk. | hghotshot
30/11/2023 08:49 | @Stevensupertrader "Those bought yesterday taking advantage of the juicy 21% dividend , are feeling" Worth pointing out that some of us here are not investing for hours, days, or minutes, moreover, we'll make our judgements on the success (or other) of our investments in a few years time. Time always tells ;-) | drk1

29/11/2023 23:22 | AJ Bell pay the full dividend amount, no tax taken off. Via their SIPP. | justiceforthemany
29/11/2023 20:48 | I calculate the dividend tomorrow at 3.45p (@$1.27) - if the share price falls by that amount the share price will be 64.65p - apart from the Covid crash (just) and a short period of time when it first floated that is an all-time low. Rightly or wrongly the market does not believe this is a sustainable business model even in the short-term. I don't like fighting the market - so just watching for now. 21% + gross yield post dividend is somewhat tempting. | podgyted
29/11/2023 19:35 | I agree fully with your view and reasoning - if any investor keeping DEC just for dividends , then your Capital invested on DEC will definitely be eaten away by more than the dividends you received unless you got can afford to throw your hard earned money away. | stevensupertrader
29/11/2023 19:01 | I sold all mine too, for about 69.1p this afternoon as the sentiment behind this share is currently poor (rightly or wrongly) and I thought it more likely they will drop more than the divi tomorrow than vice versa. If they do I'll buy back in. This feels more like a trading share at the moment than a divi share. | cassini
29/11/2023 18:37 | Down at 68 pence pre XD, that is harsh, and -4 pence tomorrow too, an interesting day coming up, some will have to be content with the +4 pence at MnG today as an advance offset.. :o) | laurence llewelyn binliner
29/11/2023 17:17 | You bought them off me probably topaz lol. I was dumping mine pre exdiv as I reckon they'll sink more than div AND I have to pay 30% WHT in iweb. | spawny100
29/11/2023 17:13 | Are you dreaming - FAT HOPE . You can see investors are dumping before ex div tomorrow ( only FOOLS rush in to buy pre ex div date) plus next week DEC Consolidation of every 20 shares becoming 1 share therefore making after the ex consolidation date the fall more noticeable no longer less than a fraction of a penny fall but over 10 pence each fall - GOOD LUCK FOLKS . | stevensupertrader
29/11/2023 15:56 | Grabbed a few more 20% dividend means the investment is paid back in 5-6 years and what's left over is what the profit is ... (think 100% return if the share price is the same as now in 5 years) | topazfrenzy
29/11/2023 13:25 | Fair enough I will remove my post :) | bountyhunter
29/11/2023 12:38 | Apologies for my impatience. The question of whether WHT is deducted in an ISA is probably the same, regardless of the new US Listing. See #6388. And yes I was referring to #6389, not yours bountyhunter. | bluemango
29/11/2023 12:06 | Christ, not again. It's all explained in the header. WHT is deducted at source, even in an ISA. However some SIPP providers (eg HL) use an exception to avoid the WHT. It's all in the header. | bluemango
29/11/2023 12:04 | Nobody pays taxes in an ISA | petersinthemarket
29/11/2023 10:30 | #Bounty hunter, I asked that very Q yesterday with IB, and was advised that US sourced dividends are subject to the WHT, moving to the NYSE does not result in a change of the dividend source so the dual listing or holding the NYSE stock makes no difference.. I did find a way of recovering some of the WHT here in the UK though, but it only really works for Ltd Co directors paying themselves a small salary + dividends up to the basic rate limit, and those who have headroom to declare the DEC dividends as well and still be inside that threshold.. If so, you can put them on your self assessment, get a credit for the 15/30% WHT and only pay the 8.75% UK dividend tax on them, but if it tips you over into 40% higher rate tax, then you could be reward negative with the 33.75% dividend tax.. | laurence llewelyn binliner
29/11/2023 10:11 | Re The US listing what is the withholding tax situation when held in $ in an ISA with dividends reinvested in the US listing? What I'm wondering is is there any advantage in selling on the LSE and repurchasing on the NYSE when listed - for individuals, or institutions. I assume that at the least there will be some rebalancing of portfolios and trackers going on. | bountyhunter
29/11/2023 09:22 | Do M&G hold any warrants for DEC? TR-1's are a requirement for the UK's FCA and I don't think it requires inclusion of warrants. The form F-20 is a USA SEC requirement and does require inclusion of options or warrants which can be converted to shares within 60 days. | fordtin |
