Quoted from Trading Economics"US NG futures rose towards 3.3/MMBtu closing in on the highest level since January driven by reduced domestic gas production and an increase in gas exports.Gas exports to Mexico were also increasing"Looks good for the coming winter i would have thought. Trading Economics can be found easily on Google. It is very good for imfo regarding all commodities particular oils fx Wall street etc.Just noticed gas @ 3.35

1knocker,

I daresay you're right, I've been feeling jittery, like I need to be doing something this week to stay on top of things but I'll just end up overtrading and getting whipsawed out of even more money.

A muted reaction to the US market open anyway.

Sometimes I find it is best not to look for a week, cassini. It gives the grey matter, if not the market, time to settle and one return to the fray with a more relaxed and objective mindset - and less inclined to do anything impetuous.

I dunno, bond yields are blowing out yet again after a pull back yesterday.

I find this sort of market mentally exhausting.

Now I feel like I have to be watching a screen at 14:30+

Most of the oil and gas wells on Federal lands are in New Mexico with some in NDakota, Wyoming and Colorado

I hope those who had the misfortune to buy at the ATH had the good fortune to catch this week's low. That will have made their average look much more respectable.

The long term financial issue is where you see US Natural Gas prices going. Will the additional LNG export bring them close to global gas prices? Will the global focus on less carbon intensive fuels concentrate more on gas?

Tennyson yesterday: "Diversified Energy (DEC LN) has published a reactive statement to the market around its recent trading performance. The move follows a 17% sell-off in the stock in the past 3 trading sessions, triggered by macroeconomic headwinds and redemptions across the equity income fund sector (in the wake of remarks by the FED on Monday around rates). Importantly, as confirmed this morning, the strong underlying fundamentals of the business remain unchanged, and the company is unaware of any specific reason for the share price movement. "

I note in this:

"redemptions across the equity income fund sector"

Which was suggested previously.

Yes very comforting. Sloppy RNS again though with incorrect total. They took the patient to the edge and at last are giving them some oxygen. I have been banging on about buybacks for almost a year and finally yesterday demonstrates how effective they can be. If they continue the share price will certainly recover as they mop up the seller whilst saving 20% every year in the future on each share bought.

Have we got an II selling..?

A while back some funds were mandated to sell down their fossil fuel holdings regardless of the loss of income, I cannot recall which but I think it was a Scandi country..

Perhaps, some held here..?

interesting to note the stronger DXY has hit Oil this week, after peaking at USD 95bbl, but gas is on a rip now the other way and up at over USD3..
