In answer to my own question

2021 90% hedged
2022 H1 65% hedged

So we still stand to benefit to an extent from higher gas prices particularly from Jan 1st despite any annoying temporary accounting anomalies and also stand to gain from putting any further hedging in place at higher prices while prices remain high.

It may require a reduction in gas prices and consequential increase in meaningless non cash profits for the price to go up, but I have no problem just getting the dividend.

You ladies meed to calm down, it takes patience to make a profit. My view is a min of 6 months for a return to the 130's. Just hold and take the divis. Not hard...

Agreed. Unless 100% hedged which I doubt then a high gas price is far better than a low one!

lab305 - agreed I think that is the problem as well. Paying a high dividend whilst registering a big loss in the accounts caused by hedging does not look clever.

Excuses excuses . If the share was a bargain it would be snapped up. I am dreading the final results if the interims were an indicator.
Since gas prices have risen strongly I understand that we will show an even greater loss per unit sold than at the half way stage due to hedging. No doubt the more informed amongst us will will say that this is not a real loss but it doesn't look good on the balance sheet.

Since all their assets and earnings are in USD, the recent strengthening in the dollar is very good news for this company and the Natural Gas price is still strong so I think this is very undervalued.

Agreed re overhang and that once cleared we should see a decent recovery, especially looking at gas prices given it's midsummer and normally a time of gas price weakness.

Just take it as an opp to buy more - this is a highly traded stock and the pros are changing positions almost every minute..
