That will do nicely. Nothing wrong here, is there. Very happy with the dividend. Shares should pick up well from here.

Interim 7.4p, ex `3/8, p/d 4/9/20. Excellent. Anybody know the dates for the Special of 14.4p? Thanks.

DLG are making money hand over fist, taking premiums and not having to pay out for repairs for nearly three months as folk stayed at home. Dividend will be back for sure. This is a very decent safe play.

They have plenty of cash so divi payments will be back soon I think. A nice return on any investment.

Having the government order then to stop divi payments doesn't help. Shame as they had potential for getting re-promoted back into the FTSE-100 for a few months. On the bright side... what would have been paid out in divs should be accumulating on the balance sheet, plus motor claims are likely lower due to lock-down. Thinking ahead I wonder whether the price will spike on any future rumours div payments can resume... hmm

Not the best day every, DLG really does seem to be stuck in a rut at the moment. Good luck everyone, Sid.

What a very odd reason to attack Direct Line. I am no great fan of their business, preferring Sabre as the quality play in retail insurance and Aviva as the recovery play in the wider insurance market - but don't invest because they have a female CEO? It sounds like Jacob Rees Mogg's less rational sibling. Inga Beale was an excellent CEO at Lloyds and at Canopius before that (which would be big enough to get into the ftse350 if it was not private). Similar can be said of Amanda Blanc. And there are a number of very successful female CEOs in insurance in the USA, including Tricia Griffiths at Progressive, an excellent company.

Female CEO performance on ftse 350 pretty dire, see itv, whitbread and Imperial, all disastrous for share price long before UK’s covid fiasco, another reason to be a seller of this.

They historically pay a handsome dividend. Postponing it is obviously temporary.

What value? It doesn’t pay a dividend and has no growth profile, another U.K. ftse 350 capital destructive load of cxxp.

The next FTSE promotion/demotion review is determined on 3-June (per my previous). DLG had been looking hopeful for a promotion. Not any more per 20-May valuations it's the first candidate in the prom/dem zone NOT to make the valuation grade. [insert 3w's here] .stockchallenge.co.uk/ftse.php
