24/3/2021 11:11 | It makes me laugh that there are spivvy penny stocks which can attract literally hundreds of thousands of posts and yet a solid company like DPLM puts out another cracking trading update and....zip....nada. Still, their loss, our gain. | jeffian

11/2/2021 13:08 | You've done well with Diploma. I have been in and out several times from round about the same time! Dont know why, I should learn to relax :) Good luck with it. | faz
11/2/2021 11:49 | It's funny that DPLM doesn't seem to attract any interest here and yet it flies along under the radar going from strength to strength. Bought my first shares in 2006 and have been accumulating ever since. | jeffian

08/10/2020 14:08 | This from citywire - "Peel Hunt backs Diploma’s acquisition Diploma’s (DPLM) acquisition of Windy City Wire reassures Peel Hunt that the mergers and acquisitions (M&A) strategy is on track and reiterates the industrial machinery group as a defensive growth stock. Analyst Henry Carver reiterated his ‘add’ recommendation and increased the target price from £21.50 to £24. The shares were trading at £21.90 yesterday. Carver said the £194m acquisition of the US-based distributor of low-voltage wire and cable was ‘perhaps a statement of intent from the new management team’. ‘It certainly reassures us that the M&A strategy remains firmly on track and gives an idea of what sort of deals are out there,’ he said. ‘At our target price, Diploma would trade at a full-year 2021 price-earnings of 36.6 times, which we think is an appropriate rating for a stock with Diploma’s defensive growth characteristics and proven model.’" | jeffian

29/9/2020 21:17 | Hi all, My mate Peter @Conkers3 and myself did a ‘Twin Petes Investing’ Podcast a few days ago and part of our discussion includes DPLM. We also chatted about loads of other Stocks and the outlook for Markets and as usual a fair bit of educational stuff with regards to Investing. Anyway, if you use Apple, Audioboom, Overcast or Spotify you can find it under the 'Conkers Corner' Channel (you want TPI Podcast 32) and you can find it on Soundcloud at the link below. I hope you enjoy it and find it useful, Cheers, WD @wheeliedealer | thewheeliedealer
23/9/2020 11:07 | Well what an effin' swizz! The offer is closed now anyway. An announcement after the market closed last night followed by a swift closure this morning. The offer wasn't even to existing shareholders but any member of the public who hit the App button quickly enough. "the Company values its retail investor base and wants to give those shareholders an opportunity to participate in the Company's equity fundraising, alongside other investors." Yeah, right. As a long-term shareholder, I am not happy. | jeffian
23/9/2020 10:46 | What an odd way of dealing with the retail offer. How does that work for shares held via a platform like Hargreaves Lansdown?! | jeffian
11/5/2020 08:44 | "From a financial perspective, revenues have fallen in April by ca. 28% on an underlying basis and by ca. 16% on an actual basis. At these levels the Group continues to generate good operating profits and cash flows." That's amazing! | barnesian
20/2/2020 10:48 | Don't know about that but a PER of 33x on 'adjusted' eps (39x statutory eps) and a yield of 1.35% is pretty racy for this stock. Is it getting ahead of itself or is there more to it? | jeffian
19/2/2020 17:10 | Is Katie Potts buying again? | barnesian
19/2/2020 16:21 | Been looking pretty lively again recently. I wonder what's behind it? | jeffian
16/1/2020 12:09 | which is why I doubt this is being shorted in any meaningful way | silverfern
16/1/2020 10:37 | It's very sensitive to trades. I imagine it's quite illiquid? I saw there was one deal for over £2m yesterday, so I guess that had something to do with it? | jeffian
16/1/2020 09:46 | yeah well those shorts didnt last long | silverfern |
