The market seems to be asleep regards DSC. It presumably does not believe the level of development and trading gains will be repeated this year as promised?

Thought I would pop back and comment on results. Dire once again. All this guff about record profits etc and yet the reality of it is NAV has gone up 8.4% over the year. IPD over the year ungeared has risen 15%+. DSC with gearing woefully underperformed. This is despite them having assets from the depths of the recession coming to fruition. Just goes to prove how terrible management have been. See Marx has gone now. Hopefully big changes afoot. Saving grace for share price has been rapid growth in IPD coupled with very positive sentiment across the sector.

And yet the market still decides to give it a derisory 15% discount after taking off the 8p special (23% discount before divi), bodes very well looking forward with a very likely "special divi" on it's way again.

The automatic traders seem to have been busy today: it's often an opportunity as it was today to pick up a few shares in the uncrossing trade at the offer. No doubt it will go the other way tomorrow. I've had this share for a while and like their story, particularly the video interviews with the directors. That said, the net asset value has gone sideways over the last few years and the promises of jam never quite seem to materialise. I'm hoping this year will be different and we will have something to add to the 8p divi.

Looks like another good asset to add to the residential redevelopment pipeline with the benefit of throwing off a modest return until a deal can be done.

"Development Securities today announces the acquisition by Cathedral Group of a 3-acre site in The Royal Borough of Greenwich, London, for £5.3 million at a 4.4% initial yield. The site which benefits from 80 metres of Thames river frontage, is currently occupied by a building materials group with 9 years remaining on the lease, and presents several options for redevelopment in the medium-term. The site is in a key strategic location for Development Securities and Cathedral who have other significant regeneration projects in the area."

240p Bid - it may hold...maybe not; but we're beginning to see the realisation that DSC's Finals will publicise a propco with something special these days - an NAV discount! Only 13 trading days to go

Anyone received their 8p Special Dividend yet? PayDate 7th April. No credit yet at YouInvest.

Finals on Weds. 29th April...

Also Schroders increase their stake from below 5% to 7.1m shares (5.7%). Schroders are usually a reducer, so interesting.
