These kinds of communications from LM are part of the problem. They hinte at things getting better, and when they don't, it creates disappointment. I know he's a very nice man, but I really question what value he adds. I would much rather hear from the top team. Meanwhile, save 1/4 million a year at least.

Updating financial information on ADVFN is woeful. Shouldn't we all be complaining bitterly about that on these boards

As welcome as the share price movement is, overall it's been dire for a long time and it has a long way to go to restore any notion of fair value. Maybe the 2022 final results will show, despite the ffb harvest debacle last year, that DKL is a very sound business.LM hinted at this recently, so fingers crossed it will point to a very good 2023 in the making

DKL are highlighted this morning by the legendary Gervais Williams of the Miton UK MicroCap Trust as one of "several companies that he believes have been overlooked by investors" (including BMS, which I also own):

The buyer of 199,853 shares at 3.4p just now was happy to pay above the 3.35p published offer price. Bodes well.

Next week's CPO update should confirm a more normal ffb peak harvest. Upwards and onwards from there methinks.

For the last month or so everything seems positive on both cashew nut processing and sales and palm oil processing and sales. Finally when actual production/sales results confirm this, then the share may get the rerating it deserves. Breaking 3p is just the start hopefully. It has been a long period of 'jam tomorrow' performance. I fully expect it to be jam today (oil and nuts!) from now on.

Great to see the price back above 3p and still rising.

With sells achieving a premium over the bid and the full 3.1p offer price being paid by buyers prior to this morning's tick up, hopefully the good times look set to continue.

Looks like a big sell has cleared. Maybe a bit more positive price action from here...got everything crossed.

The strategy and numbers are playing out and operations management need to continue on the path. Senior management now need to focus on elevating DKLs profile and 'getting the story out.'

WH Ireland have retained their 9.5p fair value target in their new update note.

They continue to forecast 0.5c fully diluted EPS this year and 0.9c EPS next year, i.e around 0.44p EPS rising to 0.8p EPS.

They note that "our forecasts remain well underpinned provided capacity continues to increase as expected" even though apparently Q1 production was less than they'd forecast. They conclude:

"Production rates progressing towards full capacity With average production rates of 6 tn/day in Q1, rising to 10 tn/day by the end of the period, Dekel are clearly on an upwards trajectory in terms of production. At full capacity, Dekel are targeting an initial production capacity of 20-25 tonnes/day and we anticipate a material increase in rates towards this level in Q2.

• Palm oil business turning corner after strong volumes in March While DKL did not update the market on the palm oil business today, this morning’s announcement comes after a strong set of figures for CPO production in March. Following a weak harvest in FY2022, the return to normalised levels of production (up 48.6% YoY) in the high season, combined with continued strong pricing, should position the company for a strong cash generative period.

• Forecasts / Valuation

On modest single digit forward multiples, and with good momentum and the prospect of cash generation, we retain our broadly based (DCF and relatives) 9.5p fair value assessment (see our initiation note : DKL Note)."

Must be heading back to 3p surely, as a first level, then the long march back to 5p.
Having 2 commodities in the company's portfolio is going to feel very different for investors than just the one highly seasonal and not very predictable one.

I’ve bought back in this morning, i think the investment case is de-risked. My primary concern was the complete lack of a palm oil season/harvest last year. The messaging in the last palm oil update together with todays snippet at the end of the rns provide enough comfort cautious optimism for me. Secondly the cashew nut factory feels steady state now so any teething problems should have been captured in todays update. Happy to be back!

If DKL can get up to 20tonnes of cashews a day sold at USD4000 a tonne, then that is a serious amount of money annually (unless it is highly seasonal). Looking good for the share price assuming no more banana skins - or should that be Palm oil skins....

Good to see a 50k buy just now at 2.55p, i.e above the 2.5p published offer price. Bodes well.

Well well....looks like a solidly encouraging first quarterly cashew production update with no surprises! Good to see.

Production is increasing smoothly, pricing is better than forecast and feedback on quality is positive.

Nice little closing mention too that CPO is "currently in the peak harvesting season", which suggests the positive sentiment in the last CPO update is continuing.

Perhaps DKL are at last about to deliver on both CPO and cashews....
