When you see a buy of 1,517 shares you can't help wondering why? Balance of a big order, put in shares instead of pounds sterling? I know from experience how annoying it is when you put in an order for 1,000 cheap shares instead of the £1,000 you meant put in.

marab - not too bothered really as my wife ( she is with Barclays - where dealing is cheap ) has already used this year's allowance in full and I have used most of mine. If I wanted to put DKL in my ISA then I could do so as mine is with Optiva ( who are not so cheap but give advice )!!

The Accountant - Might be worth looking for a new provider for this year's ISA. TDW ISA is free if it has a value over £5,500 (might be slightly more with the new allowances - can't check atm as their help page is down) at the end of the tax year and you can do fill or kill orders. Cost £12.50 per trade.

marab - Barclays still will not accept DKL in to an ISA. They say the UK listing is a Depository Interest which is not eligible. They add that they presume Optiva are allowing their clients to hold a foreign listing of the stock in their ISA. Clear as mud !

The Accountant - thanks for clarifying the situation. Good job you are the type that likes to check things as many would just have sloped off moaning to their nearest and dearest.

marab - I asked Optiva today and at first they said "yes" but when I told them about Barclays stance they said they would double check. As yet they have not come back to me. Will keep you posted.

The Accountant - Got mine through Optiva. Optiva are of the opinion that DKL shares are shares plain and simple, and I can put them into an ISA through TDW so the problem would appear to be with Barclays.

marab - Barclays said for DKL it is a depository interest that is listed and not ordinary shares and so is not eligible. I am waiting for your friends at Optiva to tell me what they think !!
Could I ask which broker you have used ?

Palm oil rallied the most in two weeks as a decline to the lowest price in a week boosted exports from Malaysia, the world's second biggest producer.

The contract for October delivery gained 1.5 percent to 2,241 ringgit ($690) a metric ton on the Bursa Malaysia Derivatives, the biggest advance for most active futures since July 30. Futures fell 2.3 percent last week to close at the lowest price since July 29. The exchange was closed on Aug. 8 and Aug. 9 for the Eid festival.

Palm oil slumped to the lowest since October 2009 last month, extending losses to 8.1 percent this year, on concern that global supplies will exceed demand. Exports from Malaysia jumped 18 percent to 417,414 tons during in the first 10 days of this month from the same period in July, Intertek said today.

"Prices have seen a technical rebound as in the last few days poor fundamentals had weakened palm oil," said Han Qiang Sim, an analyst at Phillip Futures Pte. in Singapore. "There was an improvement in exports as a weaker ringgit had been making palm oil cheaper."

Output in Malaysia expanded 10 percent to 1.56 million tons in July from a month earlier, while reserves held at 1.65 million tons, according to a Bloomberg survey. The Malaysian Palm Oil Board will release the data on Aug. 14.

Futures climbed as traders closed their bets on further declines ahead of the MPOB data, said Donny Khor, deputy director of futures and commodities at RHB Investment Bank Bhd. in Kuala Lumpur.

Soybean oil for delivery in December advanced 0.7 percent to 42.19 cents a pound on the Chicago Board of Trade. Soybeans for November gained 0.8 percent to $11.915 a bushel.

Refined palm oil for January delivery rose 1.1 percent to end at 5,414 yuan ($884) a ton on the Dalian Commodity Exchange. Soybean oil climbed 0.8 percent to close at 6,974 yuan a ton.

This looks a reasonable site for getting current palm oil prices. Not important now but hopefully something that will become a lot more interesting at the end of this year when DKL's mill is up and running.

The Accountant - I can buy DKL in my TDW ISA with no trouble at all at 0.92p. I know some providers are still not dealing in AIM shares for ISAa so looks like Barclays may be one of them. There may be a change in the situation when people start to move their ISA accounts to the likes of TDW.

If anyone here is using HSBC as stockbrokers (and its many guises eg First Direct) they will not allow AIM shares into ISA's on Monday. It's a business decision apparently....... * ankers'

marab - have you tried putting any DKL shares in to an ISA ? Not eligible per Barclays. Is it because they are not yet trading ?

Looks like you could really rack up the air miles if you went to all the international palm oil conferences.

Dekeloil have a large site in the Ayenouan area but less than 8,000 hectares are likely to be planted with the companies own crops due to their long term commitment to local farmers. This leaves the company with plenty of spare land and a sizeable transport system. The company is actively looking for ways to utilise these advantages to the full. While palm oil is the centre of operations there is scope for other processing. The Ivory Coast is well known for it's cocoa for example and produces roughly 30% of the world's supply. What is less well known is that very little replanting has been carried out for years and some areas have been replaced with palm oil and rubber trees. Cocoa trees have a life of around 30 – 40 years but should be replaced around the 25 year mark.

fillipe - always nice to hear a success story on AIM. BIP must have been one of the few stocks that did an RTO and came back at a higher share price Hopefully you will do as well here over time.

Yes, I did nicely a few times with BIP in the early 3p's.....eventually holding for the big sell at 140p post the RTO consolidation. Nice that the BIP plant still features in GRAPH's production.
