Fortunately the large number of posts from those paid to post does not equal quality. You may have quantity but you will never have quality.

With Sears in the USA just declared bankruptcy it will be interesting to see if Amazon cherry pick any of their stores, since Amazon now seem to want to create a physical presence.

I dare say the problems at Debs are of a similar kind to that of Sears, too many stores, an ill defined demographic, and a scatter gun approach to stock. They seem to have been fighting a rear guard action for 20 years desperately hoping that something will turn up to save them.

Fascinating how Wilko's made a go of it whilst Woolworths foundered, it's all down to the quality of the management at the top.

Carpetright fallen to all time low despite a CVA.


Most companies who go down the same route end up bust further down the line. With Debt-en-hams having a massive store network a CVA would be hard to achieve and therefore a suspension and administration a high probability.
