19/6/2021 20:01 | That's not quite true. Listen to the latest results webcast, around 32 minutes in, where Clive Vacher says: "Covid 19 vaccine certificates do not form any part of our going forward business plan. That said, we continue to have a very strong offering in both the physical and digital space for such certificates and we continue to offer them to governments, but given the uncertainty of (a) whether the governments will choose to implement the scheme, and (b) whether that scheme would then be compatible and they would choose us, we are fully focused on the turnaround plan as we've designed it." | gargoyle2
19/6/2021 12:39 | Vaccine passports are of no interest to DLAR. | eigthwonder
19/6/2021 08:52 | Puts DLR in the spotlight and bullish last comment. Although each of the four banknotes will soon have been replaced by polymer versions, Ms John said work had already started on the next iteration of notes. She said: “We are spending three years researching the next set of banknotes. We always need to stay one step ahead of counterfeiters.&rdqu | volvo
18/6/2021 08:55 | I don't know what the alternative options are for 'passports' - could they be purely digital? I guess unlikely if dlr were in the frame last time? However i can see the logic for this from a government pr perspective and a managing the pandemic perspective. Vaccination passports are a simple idea that could be adopted by multiple countries. 80% of uk adults have had 2 doses but that leaves 20%, and more like 60% (i think) have only had one dose... but summer is here and people want holidays. So either we forget all the red/amber/green stuff and hope the 20% will be ok, which is not great because in the end it is a horrible virus, or we do something like vaccine passports. It's simpler than testing in the end. Think tony blair called for it at one point (like he called for 12 not 6 weeks between vaccine shots, that was adopted). Could be a driver of profit growth and re-rating. | aringadingding
18/6/2021 08:29 | Covid vaccine ‘passport&rsqu A vaccine passport system could be introduced in weeks to allow twice-vaccinated tourists to travel abroad without quarantining on their return. The government confirmed yesterday that it was considering using jab status to allow travellers to avoid having to self-isolate for up to ten days on return from an "amber" country. The Department for Transport has been told to draw up a paper on the proposals, which will be presented to a meeting of the Covid-19 operations committee next week. It will be considered as part of a review of the traffic light system for overseas travel, due on June 28. | masurenguy
17/6/2021 10:11 | Yes it seems straight forward....if your currency polymer printing capacity is at 100pc 7 days a week 52 weeks per year, like now, if you more than double current capacity, and the polymer orders are there, which they are, then you more than double your polymer turnover/profit....t | volvo
17/6/2021 09:30 | Thanks Volvo. My dyor is already done, have a good holding here. | gargoyle2
17/6/2021 08:02 | Hi Gargoyle, it is an ongoing process setting up a large print works from scratch particularly as complicated as printing currency onto polymer with its multiple processes. New presses are being delivered, installed and tested on a ongoing basis right now. This can indeed take months When the new print facility is up and running fully will probably be autumn/winter this year, however individual 'lines' should start production earlier. Either way a super sound investment from here. Dyor | volvo
16/6/2021 19:20 | Hi Volvo. Where do you get the info regarding the installation of the new polymer equipment? On the last results webcast, they said that the ramping up of polymer production would start by the end of this calendar year, which is quite a bit later than your 6-8 weeks forecast. Great if your timing is accurate though! Thanks in advance, | gargoyle2
16/6/2021 18:44 | The new presses for polymer lines are being installed this week and will complete in 6-8 weeks......this will double polymer capacity minimum. New orders for polymer are stacking up. Imagine that 76pc of De La Rue is now polymer, start doing the maths, this is the reason smart investors and the like are piling in, one way street imo | volvo

07/6/2021 18:20 | This is a double share price in 12 months, load up, nothing will stop it, and expect a bid why not, got all the contracts in going flat out, cash will always exist it suits everyone, including governments. | volvo
03/6/2021 08:05 | From last weeks results....this will double current polymer production, no wonder the directors are quietly super confident Given the ongoing and expected demand for polymer, we plan to spend approximately GBP20 million on new polymer capacity, an increase on the approximately GBP15 million previously indicated. In January 2021, we secured a new building adjacent to our existing premises in Westhoughton, near Bolton, which will create operational efficiencies. We expect the new line to be fully operational before the end of calendar year 2021 and that it will MORE than DOUBLE current polymer production capacity. As part of this investment, we plan to recruit up to an additional 70 people during the next two and a half years. | volvo
02/6/2021 15:24 | Thanks for the above article, feel similar, could have written this actually. Double print capacity, watch turnover and profits spike. As we open back up the cash points will be churning the cash out | volvo
01/6/2021 15:01 | Been buying here at that level ish 181p, management super condident that the doubling of polymer printing capacity (76pc of current turnover) with the new line is going to be a game changer, bearing in mind that they are currently at full speed with no slack. | volvo
