Steve why do you keep talking about DA on the Darktrace thread, they are not linked, DA provides Identity access management for IoT, Darktrace does other things.

DA is a locally centralised security solution thats been established since 2014 with minimal revenue thus far...But technology evolves very quickly especially in the US and theres nothing dynamic with their platform so are you sure this is anything but a redundant technology in future!

Billions of Devices already secured without DA.
Therefore DA Ship has sailed, holders missing the boat ?? SO SAY SHORTERS!

The Standard has as yet, not been enshrined in law in USA, when it is, onerous fines will be imposed on those that do not follow the Standard. DEVICE AUTHORITY is instrumental in fashioning that Standard. DA is in no rush, nor are the USA Gov, but when that Standard is set ?? A WHOLE NEW BALL GAME STARTS.
I presume the West, in its entirety will adopt the same standard making DA a, `MUST HAVE` BOOM TIME

Dark investors must not forget the Disgraceful role played by The Times & Telegraph Financial Sections who shouted from the roof tops that a Bidding War was very likely now that Thoma Bravo had indicated an interest in Darktrace.

These 2 Publications AKA Dandy & Beano have caused considerable losses to be incurred by those that believed their TWADDLE.

Times & Telegraph have never made any mention of the fact alluded to by Harry

The only reason DTs made a profit is due to their unnegotiable contracts PWhite which unfortunately bind their clients for the longer-term but they will soon be expiring so it begs to be seen whether it will all continue...Or is it just Snake Oil!

TOT101 - "And this overvalued fluff lost £2.2 million last year."

No it lost $145 million last year and made a profit of $1.4 million this year. Assuming nothing changes you can see where this is heading. Just the subject of a shorting attack at the moment that will quickly resolve itself.

Oh yes - TB sizing up TERN now because they own 54% of Device Authority - the best internet security company in the world!

Check it out.

Earnings = profitAnd this overvalued fluff lost £2.2 million last year. Massively overvalued. No wonder the bidder pulled out.

Blackhorse you lose all credibility with that comment. Current valuation is just around 9x earnings and you say the company is worth 1.8x earnings. This is unheard of in the tech space and is total bunk. Other readers of his post take note.

...And yet they've overstated revenue from previous reporting periods in 2021 PWhite but that doesn't seem like they've actually learnt anything from past endeavours now does it otherwise they wouldn't have left it so late in the day to rectify and report to the market now!

...DT is nothing more than 'Snake Oil' which i hope is becoming rather apparent to the masses now but all the very best here buddy!

The reference to shorters needs clarification?

I checked Shortdata.co.uk for 6 Sep 2022:-

DARK not listed as any shorts that do exist accountant for less than 0.5%.

In other words, insignificant.

Fact not fiction.

O_F - "because DT provides perfect synergies but through the companies 'Associations' they have a tendency of overinflating their returns,"

Given the Autonomy scandal with one ex CFO already in a US jail and the founder ML fighting extradition charges I doubt DT would be getting involved in such scandal again and would be taking great pains to ensure its accounts and reporting are all above board and open to the most intense scrutiny. Indeed it has already made one qualification in that $3.5m of revenue should have been credited to the first half.

Lessen the noise PWhite as I'm not some fu_ckin mug punter unlike many here and whilst you provided objectivity on Vela the decision to sell (for a significant profit it has to be said) was mine and mine alone and you teaching me a lesson really!...My dear friend, I wasnt the one that lost all his readies so readily on some minnow with billions and billions of shares in circulation!

...And please dont try and pull the wool over peoples eyes here now because you like most were adamant of a bidding war and are you actually aware of Bravo's other underlying interests within the sphere because DT provides perfect synergies but through the companies 'Associations' they have a tendency of overinflating their returns, unbeknownst to them unfortunately so I'll say again is it just 'Snake Oil' because there's certainly no exclusivity with utilising open source 'Self-Learning' AI with CyberSecurity!

O_F. I taught you a valuable lesson on the VELA thread please don't force me to teach you one here. The price for DARK is too low given the results and the sector it's in. What I was worried about is that TB would reject DARK on the grounds of synergies and technologies. This appears not to be the case.

335p a short while ago now back to 351p. DARK will be on the warpath to announce further positive news asap. When they do the shorters will run for the hills.

Nonsense PWhite and forget the bloody pedantics because PE are no mugs and know the intrinsic value of what they're bidding for but was that why there was no confirmed tabled offer to begin with, hmmm!

RNS 08/09/22 - "early stage discussions took place with Thoma Bravo about a possible offer for the Company but an agreement could not be reached on the terms of a firm offer."

You see 'the terms of a firm offer' would include an exit package for the directors if they're not to keep their jobs. If they're told to p1ss off with no compensation then the offer is rejected. For those of you investing long enough back in the old days how many times have directors rejected offers only for the company to go bust two years later.

I for one am expecting TB to go hostile on their offer considering the much lowered share price and the collapse of the pound against the dollar. I read somewhere that TB said it does have the right to make another offer within six months under special circumstances.
