19/6/2002 22:00 | in the US it happens on the dates that I have stated. This sort of expiry must occur elsewhere but dont think on those dates and no where as influential as the US. US is the major influence on the other markets (including UK) so triple witching there is taken notice of most. | easykill

19/6/2002 18:57 | Funny fans, you are right the revenue of 6 months is £45 million (declined from £69 million last year). Next six month could be much less if they concentrate on Aerospace business. Hope the next six months the revenue can exceed £30 million so the total revenue will be more than £75 million. DEBT: Debt due within one year: £41 million and due after one year is: £34 million Equity shareholders' funds reduce to £1.2 million from £65 million. Give me a shout if takeover or merger comes before administration. | oaklandsway
19/6/2002 18:32 | lol - come on then ff give us all some hot tips!! what are you in at the moment other than LGD of course?? | ![]() ambabe
19/6/2002 18:15 | Oakyhead.....it would help if you took the revenue for the whole year....not just the interim figure....LOL | ![]() forfaiter
19/6/2002 17:31 | Funny Fans, You can't compare straight away between Danka and LGD. We bought Danka when they where in trouble because we consider that 1. the revenue and profit margin was high enough to cover the debt. 2. no cash burning 3. the industry was declining but not that extreme 4. the re-engineering process is relatively simple (simple software & networking) but just need new organisation and supply chain management. 5. can reduce capex but still increase gross margin and gross profit (actual dollar) But LGD, 1. The revenue, now, less than debt 2. they need R&D or innovation that will burn some cash 3. manufacturing industry in UK is suffering and global aerospace industry has suffered extremely 4. re-engineering by concentrating into aerospace industry is not that simple because it will need big effort and investment to carry on innovation 5. hard to reduce capex in term of cost of R&D for every unit of product, new product for aerospace needs certification, etc. At the end of the day, if the whole company goes to administration banker will sell the aerospace division if the product worth it. After the cold war, Aerospace industries tend to merge e.g. Lucas Aerospace, Fairy Hidraulic Limited, etc. The question for LGD is: Can merger come before administration (chapter 11)? | oaklandsway
