weatherman- i think the phrase used in relation to revenuee over time is recurring revenues which is is seen as always better- the share price was well up today but i am not clear about the valuation and its possible negative impact?

It makes it easier to get through at the customer level. The upfront cost is not as hard to swallow.

isnt this subscriptino shift just a big increase in pricing over customer life? How will customers react to that on a 5 year view. longer revenue over time is just a way of mincing the reality of price rises

With subscriptions revenue of contracts is spread over several years, whereas with the old model revenue is recognised when a contract is signed. This may lead to lower recognised revenue in the short term, but longer, higher quality revenue in the longer term.

The PE of 40 is based upon a different funding model, so near term revenues may go down, but there is greater security of income long term.

geraldus-i was completely misled by sharecast / old digital look which gives a pe of 12.4 - the correct one is 40 which is too high as you say!

Its not a breach of copyright to comment in your own words what a publication says. The market makers will also read these tips and mark the price up at the start of trading anyway - its better to wait and buy the dips even if some fish get a way from you. Blindly following tips and chasing prices is a way to lose money.

Ok point noted. My view is that many of these 2021 tips are already being discussed on much wider social media platforms such as Twitter so it seemed posting the name here as a one-liner made no difference. I've hit a nerve clearly so it won't happen again.

I think it is common decency not to reveal these tips which are not publicly available until after subscribers have had an opportunity to use the information they have paid money for (and despite knowing the shares are going to be marked up).

Hang on, so the argument is those that don't subscribe aren't allowed to know they've been tipped?
Ok, I can get that. But the argument appears to actually be - don't tell them because 'some of us want to buy'. Ah, so now it's price affecting news. By not letting people know you're effectively insider trading right? You're hoping to profit on news not known by all parties.

Happy to be schooled why this take is incorrect.

It’s only available to subscription payers who prefer info not to released until they’ve had a chance to buy the shares.

I wasn't going to reply to this but I've not breached copyright - how ridiculous. I've seen that D4T4 are included in the 2021 tips (to be written up in detail next month) along with 9 other companies. Publicly available information.

He has breached copyright...that is the legal situation.if he quotes from the newsletter that would make it worse and open to legal action. This site would also have a responsibility and liability.
