08/10/2003 15:44 | sandbank now 1.83 but just noticed maximum number of shares you can sell online is now 300000. Sellers still in full force. | zinyowem
08/10/2003 15:44 | Same here zinyowem, use Comdirect, bought in earlier at 1.92 pence having bought and sold them previously in the last rally. | optimist23
08/10/2003 15:42 | sandbank. Thanks for that. I feel that if there is no pull back at close of play or early on in the morning we might really start to try and puch that 2p barrier. My quote was from comdirect...that's who i use. | zinyowem
08/10/2003 15:34 | Zinyowem: Barclays quoting me 1.9p to buy and 1.75 to sell. But it's the end-of-the-day price which really counts of course. I've tried to guess the next move from the charts. The big issue is whether today's price will make a new higher high. It's not there quite yet IMHO. The last peak was reach within just one day. This current climb is taking much longer which could indicate a slowing of momentum. Today's volume is about 7 million - much less than the 30 million which changed hands on the first big push.Let's see what it looks like at 4.30 | sandbank
08/10/2003 15:19 | Just did another test and though it says 1.75 to sell you can get 1.85...mmmmmm | zinyowem
08/10/2003 15:14 | Some pretty big sales as well so still holding my breath as this is not clear cut at the moment. | zinyowem
08/10/2003 15:02 | Thanks Antizencs, And here it is: The appearance of an American buyer helped drug discovery research minnow Cytomyx soar 3/4p to 1.9p on turnover of 32m. | slicknodge
08/10/2003 14:51 | some pretty large buys which is moving the price. Not many retail investors having a dabble | optimist23
08/10/2003 14:35 | No ideas...i'm not in the know on this one...would rather wait for RNS to confirm anything. | zinyowem
08/10/2003 14:29 | As an estimate what price would be the bid be made assuming there is one? | optimist23
08/10/2003 14:27 | Nice 1.75 - 2p now...2p still the barrier in my opinion. | zinyowem
08/10/2003 14:10 | >>>>propane: DM quote "the appearance of an American buyer" could mean anything. What it doesn't neccessarily mean is that the "American buyer" is stakebuilding but he certainly could be in negotiations with CYX; Cytomyx would be under no obligation to report this; plus the fact the price hike they (DM) reported obviously related to Cytomyx, not Cyprotex. I'm still not convinced whether or not the Daily Mail facts are correct but no doubt time will tell. Meanwhile CYX is advancing on a daily basis. aj. | ajrice
08/10/2003 13:49 | If you're interested in the DM "article" then here's the link | antizenncs
08/10/2003 13:32 | OK so I started something, but the reason I bought this stock was the correct version of the Mail I read which had the correct company name and even gave the price which cannot be mistaken for Cyprotex at 15p odd. Either way I see the last trade was 1.85, at this rate we'll hit 2p tomorrow, and by the way, Cyprotex is also dong quite nicely!. | slicknodge
08/10/2003 10:33 | Just did a test and got my answer. Tried to do a test sale (didn't sell) for 50000 shares and got offered 1.7 which answers my question above on whether those trades where sales. Guess they are willing to pay a premium....why? | zinyowem
08/10/2003 10:17 | Below is the cyprotex afx, the release coincides about the time of the cyx price increase, ......mix up or not? AFX-Focus) 2003-09-30 09:00 GMT: Cyprotex says Nordan Holdings takes 29.9 pct stake LONDON (AFX) - Cyprotex PLC said Nordan Holdings Ltd has acquired 29.9 pct of the company's stock and that it has made significant progress in its development as an ADME focused drug discovery and information company. Revenue for the 6 months ending 30 June 2003 was 368,804 stg against 329,085 stg for the year earlier. The operating loss for the first half was 1.077 mln stg against a loss of 1.465 mln the prior year. "The business has progressed positively in the first half of 2003 and we look forward to building on the technology we have developed and delivering growth in the coming months," it said. newsdesk@afxnews.com | propane
08/10/2003 09:55 | Does anyone know whether the 275000 trade @ 1.75 was a buy or sale? & The 650000 @ 1.76. Am i right in that they are sales? Yet we are moving north...something going on as far as i am concerned. | zinyowem
08/10/2003 09:44 | ajrice, CYX issued a RNS stating "we know of no reason"............e | propane
08/10/2003 09:32 | Who knows the DM story may well relate to CYX as they said it did. The "ample" writer is only assuming it referred to Cyprotex. aj. | ajrice
08/10/2003 08:36 | Propane Read that as well and ignored it, but it seems this story is causing more confusion. | zinyowem
07/10/2003 22:29 | zinyowem, It seems that the Daily Mail mixed up a bid for 'Cyprotex' with 'Cytomyx'.....the following is a post from Ample BB....... 'This story is untrue. And also a mischievous mistake by the pump and dump merchants at the Daily Mail. The company that has the American stake holder is Cyprotex. Nordan Holdings has a 29.9% stake. This is old news already issued by Cyprotex.' | propane
07/10/2003 22:20 | I'd really be interested to know where this bid talk is coming from. Even if true at current price would not represent value for shreholders. | zinyowem
07/10/2003 22:18 | boadicea - hence gut feeling no merit nothing to back it up. | zinyowem
07/10/2003 20:39 | So - What about the Yanks? Is there a bid lurking? If so why not bid now rather than wait until Friday when 2p seems possible? | slicknodge
07/10/2003 19:16 | ziny - Results are at least 2 months away (18 or 19 Dec) so I don't think that is a very likely explanation. | boadicea |
